Francesca didn't like Jason calling her back
She acted that she thought she had him wrapped around her little finger. She thought that he wouldn't choose her because of his niceness and her spite was her shock.

I'm shocked and appalled by Francesca's display in the boardroom. She went from being a really nice lady to a horrible, whiny one. And why is she there still? Lord Alan said that she's been very good so far? REALLY? She's the only one left who I think shouldn't be there at all. She was weaker than Jason by far - at least Jason's a nice guy! She was useless as PM...at least in the first task, Jason had some form of teamwork going on. She is terrible.
And why was she out of the reckoning to be fired in the boardroom over Luisa. Luisa has been a standout candidate from Day 0. She's aggressive, but she can lead, delegate, manage, create, sell - everything that a proper candidate should be able to do. She's runaway the best girl. |

I found her attitude towards him the most patronising of all. 'How dare HE bring ME back in??' She seemed to be saying. The fact that she was so annoyed by it even after she got back to the flat spoke volumes.

Everyone on this season seems to take it personally to be brought back into the boardroom. Even if they messed it up badly.

I thought her reaction, narrowing eyes and pulling faces was actually more hostile than Luisa has been. It's not like they had lots of people to choose from to bring back and the crap ad was her work!

I also didn't appreciate her reaction. Also she was very quick to mention all the work she put into the advert, which contributed majorly to the failure of the task. She should've been fired. In fact, she should've been fired when she screwed up the beer in week 2.

I'm surprised to see how differently you all seem to have seen it to me. It was Jason, not Francesca, who went down in my estimation here. Not because he brought Francesca in; either her or Neil had to be brought in, and Neil has been very strong throughout (however big-headed and annoying). I felt Jason was very unfair and actually downright dishonest in blaming her over the market research. He claimed that the market research had been misrepresented to him when it had not, and it was that I think so infuriated Francesca. I thought she had every right to be angry, and I'm surprised no-one else on this thread has seen it that way.
It was right she wasn't fired anyway; the advert was awful, but unless her business idea is film directing that doesn't really matter so much. What's more relevant is that she went about making the advert in a businesslike and efficient way, and carried out market research with no problems. Sugar telling them they should have ignored the market research is all very well in hindsight, but you know if they had done so and had lost he'd have told them how idiotic they were to ignore the market research. In any case, that was Jason's call. |

What was so business-like about her advert? The process of making it? Because that does not require any business sense! What she clearly failed to demonstrate was the lack of business sense - as she delivered an advert which was terrible and cost them the task! It was cringing, patronizing and boring. Fran has clearly got no creativity.

Francesca was so annoying when she got back to the house and made out that she personally took Jason out of the show. LS was always going to fire him. Nothing she said changed his mind.
All of that 'go on then, bring me in' crap. Either her or Neil HAD to go in, and as director of the crap advert, it had to be her. Luisa only wanted Neil in because of a personal dislike of him, even though she won the day by pitching over him. |

Shocked that Sugar said she's been very good up till now.
He'd obviously forgotten about her calamitous management of the work away day project. She made Leah even look good. No control over the theme, no direction of her troops and absolutely no control over the budget. She should have been fired that episode rather than Rebecca. At least the speaker they brought in was actually good - which Rebecca was fired for. Imagine if they hadn't have gone for the external speaker?! It doesn't bear thinking about. There's no doubt that the right person was fired this episode - Jason. But her advert was absolutely appalling, bereft of any imagination and showed no creativity whatsoever. She supposedly makes the interviews and I think she's been very lucky indeed. |

Her attitude was pathetic. Neither of the other two team members were in contention after Luisa and Jason's tiff. They needed to pick one person , and she was part of the market research and in charge of the video. The video was panned (unfairly, I think), and the market research was questioned, which put her marginally ahead of Neil, who didn't have such a great responsibility for the video, and had a brilliant stint as PM the previous week. Her own stint as PM was disastrous and she should have been fired that week.
She could have ridden it easily and calmly and shown herself and mature and sensible, but that was too much to ask I guess. |

I guess she hasn't really faced any major opposition until now. |

Ergh last night was one of those moments of "You finally opened your mouth and THIS is what we get?".
She still didn't understand that she played a big part in the failure. The shoddy market research, where she seemed to get the answers she wanted to hear. The advert could've saved them, the other team squeaked through on their ad being memorable for the right reasons. Hers was just blah, and omg the wink!!!

Francesca's ordeal before she entered the board (and in it too) seemed like a picnic compared to Natalie's approach in proving herself

I got the impression that neither Francesca nor Luisa are wildly popular with the others. In fact the remaining women are not a very likeable lot, sadly. |

Francesca has had some criticism on this board but nowhere near as much as she should have compared to some of the other candidates, so this thread I think restores a bit of balance!!
Her reaction to Jason last night was far worse for me than Luisa's was, and yet aside from this thread not too much seems to have been said about it. There is a marked disconnect between how well she thinks she has done and the reality of the situation. Several times now we have seen examples of this. The other week she still seemed to think her corporate day out had gone well, even in the face of quite overwhelming evidence to the contrary! It's like she puts the rose tinted specs and blinkers on all at once. Recognising and acknowledging your mistakes and then trying to improve and address these issues going forward is an essential business skill and one that I think she lacks. Her outrage at even being suggested as someone to come back to the boardroom was OTT, and she was still trying to bleat on about how good her ad was at the 11th hour despite evidence to the contrary. For me she is the weakest candidate remaining, by quite some distance. |

Yes, how tactless was that? Jason only had a choice of two, so in front of the other one she trumpets away about how outrageous it was to choose her.

I found it amusing that Francesca thought that she didn't deserve to be brought back because she had written, edited and directed the commercial.
THAT was the main reason she deserve to be in the boardroom! The advert was dreadful (the other team went for humour, but didn't get the laughs that Francesca's one did!). Jason would have gone up even higher in my estimations if he had said "The advert was pretty much all you and it was sh*t. So that is your fault." |

You're all a bit dramatic.
![]() I loved Francesca's behaviour in the boardroom; it made the dullsville boardroom centered around Jason a lot more bearable. |
