It's play.coms proposed on demand service. It's been in pipeline for ages. Only launched recently by looks of things.

There's a big catch. You can't watch any HD content on a PC, tablet, or any device other than an Xbox360 and Smart TV. It's the only streaming service in the UK (that I know of) that doesn't allow HD content on PCs or via browsers

So you've got a choice of watching a film in SD for £3.99 on Wuaki, or in HD on Google Play for £3.49. I'm sure their servers must be really busy.

I tried them the other night within 2 minutes of watching a movie i had serious buffering issues with them. I have a 60mb connection too lol. Glad i got a month trial before parting with any cash , think i'll stick to Netflix and lovefilm.

No they are not!

I for one, will not touch them with a 10 foot barge pole until this option is renamed, corrected or fully removed.

I wont touch them until they sort out their buffering issues. I think the £2.99p/m pack s ok value but not if it keeps buffering every few seconds.

Anyone signed up recently ?

Their marketing has stepped up considerably in recent weeks so I'm surprised this is the only thread I could find.

Already with Netflix but this looks a good value extra. Concerning though to read reports of lots of buffering, etc.

Judging by their adverts, I thought it was a brand of TV set. Only when I searched did I find out otherwise,

Managed to scrounge another free trial lol and the buffering issues seem to be sorted now also there's a lot more content too.
One thing i like about these too is you get your Wuaki select subscription for £4.99p/m and you can also watch the latest movies via payg too.

What's the film selection like? I've got, and love Netflix. I also have Love film but haven't checked that out in forever.

For the wauki select it's average but as they have the payg movies too it is pretty decent it depends how much you want to spend really.

Actually had a guy flogging this service on the doorstep recently. "Have you heard of it?"..."nope"..."It's like Netflix"..."OK"..."want it?"..."No thanks"..."OK bye".
