A CORRIE producer gave his musician son a boost by getting his song played on the jukebox at the Rovers Return.

The track was played on June 3

It isn't. Totally pointless thread.

Plus the person involved is a director, not a producer. It's the directors job to choose any background music.

And tbh, upcoming artists need all the help they can get...I wouldn't see the problem anyway...

So what? I'd do the same in his position.

Did anyone notice? I didn't for one
Was there a sudden surge in sales of the CD or downloads of the track?
Who actually cares?

Me too. I am sure parents know what their children are capable of. My brother wouldnt recomment his older son for a job at his place of work as he knew he would be let down. However, he knew his youngest would really work hard and make something of his life.

In this day and age everyone needs a helping hand.

Probably one of those delusional parents that think their offspring is any good at what they do.

I support the OP - the media is cursed by nepotism.

They should have more fun with the music in t'Rovers. A bit of Hear'Say when Michelle is in or a bit of Adam Rickitt when Nick is in (different person, I know). Where's the famous Corrie sense of humour?

someone should make a thread listing all the music they play on soaps

im tired of the millions of threads that pop up daily saying

''what was the song played on corrie ''

they flood this forum with these threads , so a dedicated thread would be great idea...........

if any of that was true

Charlotte Church has been promoting him on twitter at least as well as simon gregson, Michelle Keegan, jack p, Kym Lomas

Thanks for putting up the link. I think he is really good. If my son was as good I too would like to help him out. He reminds me of Paul Simon.

If it was played constantly then yeah maybe it would be an issue. But there is nothing wrong with playing it as a one off. A father did something nice for his son and some people have to find fault with that. It's staggering.
