Iphone 5 4g signal - bars seem to change

Hi there,
Just noticed an interesting situation with my iphone 5. When I first switch it on I get a full 5 bar signal. But after two seconds it drops down to two and stays on that while i'm at home. Just wondering if anybody know why this happens?

It could be camping onto another network for a few moments and then once its found the correct network, it goes to that.

When my phone goes to emergency calls only it shows full bars but its not my home network
