Has Panasonic dropped BBCiplayer app recently?
Asking due to the fact I get the message Sorry we do not support your device now when trying to run the iplayer via my Panny blu ray player?
(The app is still prominent on the internet page of the player btw) |

Not in the last couple of days Nigel.Though just this minute tried to, with message reading latest firmware already installed.I did an update to the latest firmware via the web (edit)in March of this year.
The last time it worked was when watching a missed episode of The Fall so only a few weeks ago. Edit According the Pany I already have the latest version 1.53 for my DMP BDT500: http://panasonic.jp/support/global/c...t220_euro.html |

This problem wouldn't be related to possible changes of BBC policies of using VPN's like unblockus would it?
PS: been using unblockus for quite a while now. |

I see I'm not alone on this issue:

I'm surprised there aren't more Panasonic blu ray owners affected by this issue saying so on here when there are only a few Pany blu ray models officially sanctioned to use iplayer at the moment!
That is to say, quite a few models have in effect been downgraded in the eyes of Pany and the BBC (iplayer section  ) and given the popularity of Pany players in the highstreet this must be a major headache for Panasonic?

I have just had an e mail from BBC listing all compatable Panasonic TV's etc
The HDD DMR unit does not appear on this list BUT it was advertised as Iplayer compatable and I had some success early on with seeing I player I have attached the list HELP Listed below are all Panasonice devices that are certified for use with BBC iPlayer.
