To me the secrets and lies theme is all about BB winding up housemates, not about scamming the public into voting for a winner who might not be the person we think they are.
so ... people are voting on complete life biographies? how weird....

it feels like the forum viewers here are like a "court for truth and justice"... SO WHAT if Gina is a liar or has a secret or is an actress? ... why not enjoy her (or not) for what she does in the house itself?
I agree, anyway I think all the hms telling lies.

LOL I'm sitting here giggling ! This series is called Secrets and Lies and it seems that the public is being made just as paranoid as the HM's. Personally I won't be surprised at anything that's revealed, as I think that every single one of them has various secrets and lies attached to them. I get the feeling that the whole premise of this series is to see if we spot the fakers before they are exposed

But this is enjoyable as well. I think Gina would be happy with it, because I think any lies she is telling are part of the game.

I think there is internal evidence now that I have had a think about it, which involves no internet research at all.

1. Her initial bratty behaviour felt like a persona, even at the time. Most housemates, even monsters, are pretty well on their best behaviour for at least a day or two. Gina strutting into the bedroom and barking "which are the single beds? I need a single bed! Whose bed is that?" over and over again; and sneering loudly when she was asked whether she had done any washing up; they didn't feel authentic. After her deeply unlikeable VT, it felt as if she felt obliged to keep the persona going for a bit. And it was nothing like what seems to be her actual behaviour in the house; which is...

2. Quiet, not very spontaneous, watchful, rather wary. Almost as if she doesn't want to give too much away. At first I thought that the bucket full of botox that has made her incapable of any facial movement was cramping her personal style, but now I think she may actually BE watchful and wary, and careful not to give too much away.

3. Her reaction after Sallie's eviction. I can't remember the exact words, but when she was asked in the diary room if she was pleased to have survived, she said something like "Yes, I'm glad not to have gone out first. Next week, yes...[pauses]...or any other week, but not first." And I thought then, and still think, she really doesn't expect to be there for long. Not in a modest 'Oooh little me among all these big characters' sense, but in an 'I'm in there to do a job and then go home' sense. I don't for a minute think she is on a weekly salary like Michael, or not a real housemate, but I DO think she is there to achieve something - exposure, publicity - that has nothing to do with winning Big Brother.

I actually think she will find it hard to stay very long. We all know what happens to hair extensions after several weeks, and I don't see her as the kind of person who will laugh heartily about what a mess she looks these days.

You guys all seen this? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/ar...ves-Savoy.html

From December 2012. Seems like this fake persona (if it is so) has been fooling not just us ever-so-clever forum members, but also the papers for a while now.

Why would someone who claims to spend all day shopping in designer stores be photographed with a whole selection of footwear from Dune was the actual question

Who knows? Is my answer.

However, there does appear to be evidence that her back story is legit. Evidence which pre-dates Big Brother by a good 6 months. Unless The Mail is also in on the conspiracy.

Argh!! I need my tin foil hat again.

I think there is far more evidence that her back story is fake but that's just my opinion.

I wouldn't be surprised if the whole character was made up and sold to the media with the sole intention of getting her into a reality tv show.

I find it extremely odd that both Gina's and Dexters 'stories' were published in the same month and year. Both were published within days of each other in December 2012.

Either way she is either a rich b!tch who thinks everyone with a quid less than her is worthless which is why she thinks mocking the price of someone's clouting is the worse insult in the world

Or
She's just a fake/liar

Either way I don't like her

Anyone would think these stories were deliberately sold to the media to get these people talked about in preparation for them going into a reality tv show

This bit made me LOL
He has been compared to Christian Grey, the character from the 50 Shades of Grey books
Do you think he has compared himself rather than anyone else saying it?

I guess you don't read the Mail online much. I would have thought they would have known her real name if they were keen on verification. As someone pointed out previously, flattering stories can be given to them by Barcroft Media, but anything negative would be the sort of story that would have to be checked out.

For someone who claims to spend large amounts of money on shoes, why did she only choose her inexpensive and footprint-indented ones to demonstrate her opulence? With 11 whole pairs of shoes, Imelda Marcos must be seething.

After reading the news article I read through this blog and all the comments and noticed one that said her real name was Georgina S Reid and her mother owned a house in Chingford. I did a google search on this and it seems to have been removed from 192.com, but they have a cached copy of it. Interesting find, as it lists all the people that lived at the address in Chingford, London. E4 with Georgina S Reid during 2007-11, 2013. There was a Sebastian Playa, Theresa B Reid and another person. The newspaper articles say her mother is called Theresa and her brother is called Sebastian. Now either this is the same Gina and family, or one heck of a coincidence.
... ancestry.co.uk reveals a brother with a far more down-to-earth name than Sebastian (which is presumably therefore a name he has chosen for himself.)

http://www.unrealitytv .co.uk/big-brother/big-brother-2013-gina-rio-is-an-actress-another-fake-housemate-for-secrets-lies-theme/

As we reported last night, People’s Puppet Michael Dylan is leaving the show tonight after his secret is revealed to the housemates, however, it seems there could be yet another fake housemate in their midst…

And that may well be Gina Rio, who, according to the Daily Star today, is a professional ACTRESS!

The paper goes on to suggest that controversial Gina deliberately stirred up the ‘race row’ between herself and Jemima Slade in order to spice up the show.

The paper states, “We can reveal the 24-year-old spoiled brat, who claims she has lived at The Savoy and gets £10,000 a month pocket money from her mum, is signed up to the professional acting and casting agency Spotlight.

“She went to Sylvia Young Performing Arts School and the Anna Scher Drama School in London, which Billie Piper, 30, Letitia Dean, 45, Pauline Quirke, 53, and Gillian Taylforth, 57, all attended.”
