JustWonderful and Davethecue have both previously run this comp for the US and Australian Open, but aren't able to run it this time. So I've decided to step into the breach.
RULES
Each day, you must pick one player from the WTA and ATP singles main draw who are scheduled to play that day. (The order of player will be updated daily).
Once you have chosen that player, you cannot pick them again for the remainder of the tournament. So picking Nadal or Serena in the earlier rounds could cost you the chance of winning the competition further down the line... but it's entirely up to you!
I'd like all picks to be chosen before the day's play begins. This way everybody has the same players to choose from. If you forget to pick a player before the day's play begins, you will be out of the tournament. (I may allow for some discretion if the first match of the day is midway through the first set. )
If your player wins their match, you'll be able to continue in the competition the next day. If your player loses the match, you will be eliminated.
If your first choice withdraws before the match begins, or is the beneficiary of a walkover, you must provide me with a back-up pick. Please make sure you provide me with a back-up pick the same time as your first choice pick.
Your picks should look something like this
ATP: Rafael Nadal
Back-up: Roger Federer
WTA: Serena Williams
Back-up: Victoria Azarenka
The ATP and WTA draws will be made 10:30 am on Friday, so the first day's order of play should be released soon after. I'll post the OOP as soon as I can.
I'll update every evening with the results to see who's still in the running.

PS, EPY will still be running the game, but since he can't be reached in DS, I decided to create the thread for him, and so people can join in time for tomorrow, if EPY doesn't reply, then I will run the game this year.
