Number 1 album in the most countries?
Does anyone know which album has been number 1 in the most countries, simultaneously or not? Thank you.

Didn't Wannabe go to number 1 in something like 30 countries?
Edit read this wrong. Thought you said single lol However again. I think Spice was number 1 in something like 50 nations. Madonna's True Blue, Ray Of Light and Music hit 1 all around the globe at the same time as well but don't have a tally for number of nations. I know Music sold almost four million in 2weeks which I don't think has happened since for any artist. |

Dido sold 5,000,000 in two weeks with Life For Rent which is currently the fastest selling album EVER by a woman.

Confessions on a Dance Floor is currently the record holder for most countries it topped the chart in (42 i think wasnt it?) A feat that follow up Hard Candy (38 counrtires) couldnt match or surpass and MDNA (40) despite the itunes pre-oerer chart top in every country on the itunes charts.
But yeah COADF is still in guinness and it sold over 3.5 million in a week....her fastest selling album to date is the Music album as Retro said earlier with over 4 million in ten days. Funnily enough since Metacritic started in 2000 Music and COADF are her highest acclaimed albums with 80 and 81 respectfully. Even though of course critics were on overhype for Music (and AL was painfully underrated in comparison) it really does justify the commercial response too I am unsure what the fastest selling album of all time is...i did ponder that once... |
