I use the free Dropbox space I got with my One. All my camera photos automatically upload to Dropbox and I have the app on my laptop so can open them in a window...

Its simple. No apps needed.

Plug the phone into laptop, go to My Computer, the HTC one should show, open it up and go into pictures. Then its a simple case of drag and drop.

Because its quicker than waiting for dropbox to update sometimes. Videos are especially slow to upload. Downloading videos from dropbox is also deathly slow.

Cable is quicker and easier.

Install the Google+ app and choose Instant Upload when asked.

All photos taken on the one s are automatically uploaded to your photo album in Google+, they are all private so only you can see them. Then go to Google+ on the PC and download them from there, if you need to

Airdroid is pretty good as well if you haven't got a cable handy.
