Does anyone else have problems fast forwarding a recorded programme in the library and that when you for eg. skip ads you cannot stop the fast forward action. You have to press stop and press play.This happens nearly several times a day. You can't just press play whilst FF , you have to stop, then restart the program

Known issue, supposed to be fixed when they finally get the next update out.
Taking an eternity as usual for things to improve /get sorted.

It's not just me then

On my hard disk recorder I can skip forward by increments, so that a quick five minute jump forwards sorts out most of the ads.

I think it probably gets easier with practice, although I would certainly be pleased if they improved it.

The update is rumoured to be coming at the beginning of August. In the meantime, you can minimise the effect by leaving very short gaps between key presses. It seems to be triggered by pressing too quickly.;

I can promise you it isn't.
It seems quite random when it does it on mine.

The trick is to press the same button again to stop the runaway skipping. Some people have reported that not working though.

Once mine starts skipping, the only choice to stop it, is to exit the programme. Nothing else works.

What isn't? The update? That was what I read. If you know otherwise, fair enough. The fast forward becoming stuck is something I suffered from when it first became apparent, but it has almost disappeared since I started leaving half second gaps between key presses, leading me to believe that it was being triggered by people who press too quickly.

My TT box does this, but I've figured out how to tame it.

Press the >>| button, let the box play for a couple of seconds, then keep repeating until the programme starts/ads are over

I was only referring to the fast forward, sorry if I got you confused.

I have tried to induce the skipping by fast clicking and also not get it by slow clicking, for me it seems quite random when it kicks in. I can multi press the button with no issue and then hit it twice quite slowly and away it goes skipping through to the end of the programme. As I said once started it will not stop without coming out of the programme where other people seem to get it to stop by pressing another button.

Which suggests to me that the issue manifests in different ways for different users, which might also explain why it has taken an eternity to sort out what, on the surface, seems a simple ongoing issue.

I have found leaving a small gab between pressing the skip button helps but does not stop the problem, but I have found if you press >>I once when the multi skipping starts it will stop straight away.
