Vodafone buys German Cable company for £6.5bn

Vodafone has snapped up Germany’s largest cable operator Kabel Deutschland, creating a brand capable of offering Germans bundles of broadband, TV, and both fixed-line and mobile telephony for £6.5 Billion (which makes Three buying O2 in the ROI for £665 Million seem like small change.)

Interesting news indeed maybe Vodafone is planning to become Virgin Media/Sky of Germany.

How big is Vodafone as a Mobile operator in germany?

Very close behind leader T-Mobile. 37 million vs 36 million customers. Last year they were actually top.

WoW I didn't realise it was actually that close between the top two in Germany. They certainly a big hitter there then like they are hoping to be in the uk.
