Hi was watching TV Saturday night when the picture went off and displayed 'no signal'-have checked everything -looks like the Freeview part has packed up-plugged in another flat screen TV with Freeview and that works fine -updated Model Lg tv 32LD490 via usb but didn't help
Is it worth repairing or should I just get a Freeview box?

Yes tried to retune many times and a factory reset
The aerial seems to work on another set so I think its the TV

What happened when you did a retune? Did it actually find any channels? If it did then that implies the tuner is working. If it went through the entire band without registering a single channel then that would suggest the tuner is cream crackered.

Certainly a Freeview box is likely to be much cheaper than a repair.

You might also consider a Freeview HD box and upgrade to HD at the same time.
