Anam - get well. SOON please. We need you here

Love, love, loved Mark and Karen's Samba. So much content that he did pretty well. I much preferred it to Pixie's I'm afraid although that was good too.
BIB totally agreed. Karen danced full pelt and he matched her. Well done Mark!

Off thread, At my Bretagne Danse class, I got to do a Scottish dance with the teacher, he made it feel very easy. I felt like the belle of the ball.
No more of a backwards and forwards waltzy thing, possibly with a twirl.
That bliddy boat was being rowed backwards again.
OT me too been doing twirly spinny Scottish waltzy things

I so agree with all your comments about Arty and his artiness. I miss him very much.

Loved Pixie and Mark. Loved Jake and Caroline on mute. The rest are okay. Scott, Judy and Alison pretty poor.

Getting tired of Kevin being the Beeb's poster-boy.
BIB - couldn't agree more.

Sorry it's taken me a couple of days to calm down enough not to swear about the result. Adored Thaam for years as a rugby player and he didn't deserve this - he's had a broken neck....give the guy a break! Although I do agree this wasn't his best dance, there were many far worse dancers AND entertainers who should've gone first,

On a note of Arty's artiness (love it Fridgey) I am guessing you'll love the AT he choreographed for Leah this week on DWTS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-QS...P3_xsW8j-JrSNL And Artem spoke in sentences too

If you're on Twitter you might like to take a look at the hashtag #Artemface that Val @IamValC started last night. Hilarious!!! Hopefully this is the link https://twitter.com/iamValC/status/526476033180971009

I won't post the group dance as there was a power cut on the E coast and the resulting videos are not the best!

Hi OS, you get first prize for Zippy DWTS, links. Normally Fridgy is the first.
I enjoyed the tango back to choreography that I recognise, I thought she was good but occasionally hesitant.
Didn't see the vt of their practise so don't know if it was like last week Leah tearful, artem stern. Otherwise don't understand julianne's comments.
Who won the group dance and are Leah and Artem safe?

I don't live on an island, but the community is quite tight and it is sort of necessary to be able to join in with the circle dances if you want to fit in. I will now picture you twirling and spinning while I am spinning and twirling.

Enjoyed the artem face twittering. I am not on twitter but I found it by using your link and clicking on Artem, there are some priceless Artem faces on there.

Anam hope you are feeling better.

Can answer my own questions about the results, as have been on the DWTS face book page in order to vote.
Team itsy bitsy won so Leah and Artem got 36 points plus the 34 for the tango. That put them second on the leader board. Also someone called Antonio got eliminated.
Hope they take advice and relax and seem more joyful next week.
Just been given two pumpkins by one of neighbours, getting me into Halloween spirit. Need to buy sweets for Friday, as last year I literally had to scrape the barrel and offer cooking chocolate.

Thank you all for your well wishes, feeling much better and certainly cheered by all your posts

Thanks for the DWTS link OS, a tentative tango. I guess by the comments ('give yourselves a break')that Arty must be his usual 'intense' self. I wonder if the focus on the technique and content takes away from the chemistry...I just can't put my finger on what is lacking in their partnership

Cooking chocolate You definitely need to get your Halloween act together Clarty

Missed another ITT, is it worth catching up on?

He does seem rather lacking in confidence but then he was royally stitched up by having to choreograph a burlesque dance last week.
I enjoyed the tango but Lea's long legs and ballet training were a hindrance in this dance. And I guess the fact that she's busy with other filming commitments puts pressure on Artem. I loved the way Lea praised him.

ITT had an amusing section with first Aliona ( hilarious) and Tristam ( I really don't get the love there) and Natalie and Iveta ( hilarious) answering questions.

Scott didn't even know what dance he was doing next Sat!

PS Haven't seen VT yet either - not too well atm so didn't feel inclined to search for it and our internet speed is chronic!

Detective Clarty I didn't think Leah looked happy - the technique was immaculate though very little emotion - maybe the ribs still an issue. I'd not like to move with damaged ribs, much less dance

OT How about satsumas for Halloween? - peel and stick something green in the top so it looks like a pumpkin http://wearandwhere.co.uk/wp-content...ed8f8c45e4.jpg SORTED (Taken from this webpage http://wearandwhere.co.uk/how-to-thr...lloween-party/)

Might watch ITT based on this.

This one has the VT (Lea and Artem AT)

I really liked the dance, but agree she was a bit tentative, maybe because of the ribs.

It's not a gossipy article, but you have to laugh at how they have to allude to the Strictly Curse. I'd have said a great relationship lasting three years - ending on friendly terms - was a blessing

Thanks for the VTs. This puts everything in context for me. Appears the pressure is getting to Artem. He is such a perfectionist but as it is an integral part of his Artiness we have come to expect such drama

Watching ITT. Scott is doing a Foxtrot and hoping he trots off this week

Hi Anam, nicking your post to say thank you for the VT's. I haven't seen the other dance, but like the idea of the group dance, perhaps they could add it to strictly
Have been out looking at huge smart televisions, which we can't really afford as we have to pay the final stage of our building costs this month. We may be able to sort something as the shops are desperate to offload older models. It will be amazing to watch Strictly on a proper tv rather than computer

OS thanks for the satsuma link great ideas

Four deer in neighbours garden this morning Oh tried to chase them off but they just stared back

Just watched Aljax and Alison. Aljax is fast helping to make up for the loss of Artem. I loved the way he leapt about in his skimpy tights.
However 7's. Same marks almost as Sunetra

Bruno, Len and Darcey seem to use '7' for dancers of vastly different ability. If it weren't for Craig, half the couples would be tied on the same score .

Alison was wafting around an awful lot. Artem and Natalie were criticised for this over and over again last year. In addition, I'm sure there wasn't enough 'in hold' for an AS (another thing Len used to give Artem a hard time about).

Enyoyed the show despite the bonkers scoring. Makeup and costumes were excellent.

Popping in to say well done to the make up artists for last night . Every one a winner .

Show still missing a "something"but enjoyed Kevin and Frankies Wizard .
Nice of Len to compliment Joanne on her choreography sure it's been hard work for her and she made him look the part last night ,also think Ailiaz is putting his heart and soul into it

Zoe did well .not as hyper .Haven't watched ITT at all this time round ..
Another week or two and it will "get serious ".
All us hardened campaigners will no doubt have decided on the last three but the GPB know who they like and it's not always the best dancers .
Saw picture of Artem with Lea and a hat ..he looks rarther tired . The show is frenetic and they seem to have lots of pre and post show publicity to do .
Bonnie and Clyde ? Don't quite get that but then I didn't get Burlesque either

Hi all. Well we just survived halloween without running out of sweets. I am a bit of a newby to this and nearly lost the whole bowlful of sweets at the first knock (or rather repeated ringing on the doorbell). There were 5 of the cutest tots standing looking innocent. I offered the bowl expecting them to politely take one or two, but they could see an idiot at a 100 paces and I have never seen such fast grabby hands. When I regained my senses I withdrew the bowl as fast as I could muttering in appalling french something along the lines of leave some for the others:

Have just watched the results show and below are my prizes of pumpkins to the following
To Karen the award for ridiculous over celebration, get a grip, if it isn't Mark it's her.
To Annie Lennox a place in the dance off for inexplicable movements to her song, I am struggling for the right word. Dansing it wasn't. Voice impeccable of course (i am going to get bashed for this)
To the beeb for brilliant foresight in interviewing the mums of the two dancers about to be in the bottom two.
To Aljaz for being in the dance off and ensuring I saw his tightly clad lower half leaping around again. (I hate the book wuthering heights (another slap on the way) but he may have inspired me to reread it now.
To Joanne for growing on me a little and promising to be Scott's younger sister aaaah
To Jannette for providing another aaaah moment, when she ran on to the stage at the end of the dance off and embraced Aljaz. Second time I have noticed their affection. Very sweet.

Bit of a bonus that we got to see the routine twice. I love Aljaz too but I'd say their days are numbered.

Sums up the show perfectly, thanks Clarty.

Laughed at your trick or treat experience. I can identify with your experience! It was really wet here on Friday night and after a few too many Halloween cocktails I was over generous with the sweets, the fruit and the pound coins! Felt sorry for the wee rascals

Thanks for the Tour news Crazy. Unfortunately the show isn't coming here, again.
