Hee. Great word. Your rescued post --->>

Great poSts from all kartemites too many to include as quotes but all to the point and pertinent ha not impudent
We all seem to be much in tune with each other . James ?? Well if he's coming out in support of his wife well done.but if he is stirring it for stirring stake why ?
Maybe there is trouble behind the scenes of SCD .The show does seem to be chugging along rather than having "a can't wait till next Saturday "feel about it .
I like Pixie she seems to have a joy of dance and whilst Trent doesn't ..to use of my daughters expressions Float my. Boat he is doing a great job with her

Love Ailaz he's so enthusiastic but doesn't overpower..
Is it just me or is Kristina more covered up than usual
Still following Artem on DWTS .wonder how much he is really enjoying it . My impression is it's very much a clique there. Modesty doesn't seem to be the name of the game and both the celebs and pros have a lot of freedom to express themselves in interviews . Maybe this week will be as far as he goes.. IMO his choreography has been limited not to her lack of ability but that old foe . Age.
BIB Yes, a 53 year old competing against girls of 17, 18 and twenty-something is almost certain to come across as less exciting and poor Lea hasn't had a ballroom dance since the first show . I understand that for their individual dance on Monday the fans voted for which dance they would get. Both Lea and Artem asked their fans to vote for a VW yet they got samba. I smell a rat.

I wonder if you feel that there must be considerable constraints on Artem in LA. Over there, on a commercial channel there must be a constant need to drive up ratings and please sponsors and the whole show will be run with those requirements in mind. However bad SCD may appear I doubt if the whole thing is as dog eat dog as it must be over there.

Personally I hate all the over the top lovey doveyness of DWTS and it's all a bit too touchy feely for this old bat.

Wish James would belt up. Get the feeling that it's a case of 'methinks the Jordans do protest too much'. If you don't want to be quoted in newspapers don't keep goading the BBC every Saturday night while the show is on.

There's no question it's driven by ratings and specifically by chasing a younger demographic. I posted a while back (on the DwtS forum) that I didn't think they should invite older contestants to participate any more because the show is set up for youngsters - the almost complete abandonment of ballroom dances being a case in point. The oldsters just don't have a place to shine . (Mind you, one of the contestants still in is 76, but he's not there for his dancing prowess ).

I don't know if Artem is more constrained than on Strictly. I think probably not (in a creative sense) but I do think the cliques, the 'power players' and the hierarchy play a role in how things pan out. I think Lea and Artem have played their required role and it's now time for them to go (in the 'storyboard for the show' sense). It's not really fair on either of them.

Hi DB, I laughed at your posting first post on wrong thread and then apologising on the wrong one as well.
Dottled is a great word. To make you feel better and give me an excuse to be OT, both OH and I were completely dottled recently.
We decided to go for a sail on our boat while it was on a mooring in the nearby river.
Borrowed a boat ( free communal tenders in our commune!) and spent 20 minutes rowing to it. Discovered when we got on that we had left the boat keys in the car back at the port. Actually had a nice time sitting on the deck watching boats go by and chatting, rowed back to the car, only to discover that the we had left the car keys on the boat.
This time the 20 minute row there and the row back were made with gritted teeth, but we managed not to blame each other
Before any one suggests it we now have both keys on the same bunch

Results show: the right outcome, imo, but it still made me feel sad for them. Nice words from them both . Will miss Aljaz, but look forward to seeing him in some pro dances now.

.....OK I found something!

DWTS series goes well for Artem as this will have an impact on future earning power in the USA. Have watched a few of the dances with Lea but am put off a bit by their 'touchy feely' on screen presence; she's old enough to be his mother .
Sorry to trim you muchly Crazy but BIB ....aren't we all, aren't we all *shakes head sadly*

James #FACT!!!)

In the mean time, Steve is being cast as either a coward (for not refuting it) or a diva for being over sensitive.
More trimminng....but BIB a real tea-hits-screen hashtag Frigdey

Agreed about both interpretations of Olagate. He climbs mountains for heavens sake - 27hrs without a break - and he gets tired in DANCING rehearsals. I think not - they need to get Dynarod in them BBC sewers methinks!

I unashamedly love Judy. I know she's rubbish, she knows she's rubbish, but I still enjoy her on the show, so yah-boo sucks to anyone who thinks people shouldn't be voting for her Lovely red dress.
Did you see her tweet Mon morning? ....

"THANK YOU (that's a BIG thank you) to everyone who voted for me + @TheAntonDuBeke. Can't wait to try some Viennese Walking in Blackpool " She's at least not delusional

Steve was a little too forceful in his paso and I was desperate for him to open his chest out and get the shoulders back to help with the shaping, but I guess it's tricky with his build. Ironically, given the stories, I thought they looked good as a partnership on the dancefloor. Ola looked fab and, though I don't usually like the gratuitous shirt-off stuff, I think Steve's costume would have looked better if he'd lost either the cummerbund or the bolero (or both). The music was woeful.

Think Tess is improving and Zoe did really well. The VTs were dire. Truly, truly dire.
BIB

Tess much more comfortable playing off Zoe than Claudia I think - more able to predict what will happen next perhaps. Love Claud to bits but she's a bit of a loose cannon isn't she?

The direst direst VTs in dire VTland!

I have read today that Kara will be dancing with Mark Ballas on the Christmas Strictly Come Dancing Show. Derek Hough will be dancing with Abbey. I actually would love to have seen her with Derek as he is the best in the business.

Thanks Alldancing .

How odd.

Can you say where you read it? (I could only find it on wikipedia, but possibly haven't searched hard enough )

There's no harm in posting it, but without another source, I'd take it with a pinch of salt . It could just be someone playing their own game of Fantasy Strictly

ETA: When do they record the Xmas Special? Derek and Mark will be involved in DwtS until the 24th November - that might give us a clue!

It's very early in December, I think 1st Dec, that the Strictly Christmas special is being filmed! So possibly......

Thanks laters BIB - Hmmm. They'd have to do their press and whatnot, then fly to London and train their celebs - all in a week. Just about physically possible, but I can;t, for a minute, think why they would import the pros from DwtS (wiki says Cheryl as well), so I think it's just mischief

I think this Wiki article has been removed, I can't find it now...
with Wikipedia anyone can add anything to the info on there, in other words make up any nonsense they want to, and I reckon someone was having a joke!!

Last night's DwtS result......

Spoiler

Not at my computer again until this evening, so have a look at this channel later on for the full clips (takes a while for them to upload. Sort by 'most recent' to get this week's DwtS).

Hi everyone, hope all's well with you and yours.

Not quite so wrapped up in the Strictly bubble this year, but it's still appointment TV despite the absence of the Maestro of 'Waftography' - hey ho.

Guess Pixie and Frankie are the obvious frontrunners, but my personal faves are Simon and Caroline. And I've got a sneaking suspicion that Blackpool won't be Judy's Waterloo - just a feeling!

Last night's dances from DwtS (don't know how long they'll stay on YT...)

Watch the elimination vid and see what you make of Mark right at the end when they're all gathering round . (Mark 's in a dinner suit and he and Sadie are the last two to be called safe. He's the one who was apparently peeved with Artem for picking Henry)

Peta (with the white gloves), on the other hand, gives him a very warm hug

In this exit video Lea says she doesn't think she was treated fairly (and also says something in it that I didn't know about Artem ).

Thanks Soupy.

Shame they were eliminated especially after a great paso. Arty and Henry make a great duo

Is there history between Mark and Artem? Obviously no love lost but who knows what goes on behind the scenes.

I haven't watched all the dances yet...you are a star for bringing them to us.

Watched Aljaz on ITT, so lovely. Shame he is out of the show.

Glad to hear you are on the mend OS.

anam - I'm not aware of any history between Mark and Artem.

I haven't seen any of the DwtS dances yet , but like you, did very much appreciate Aljaz swinging and swaying on ITT .

(Bruno, I reckon )
