I've just seen in the TV listings that Kara will be on Mel & Sue's show on Friday 23rd Jan. Robert Webb is also on who I like as well, so should be good

Thanks for giving us a synopsis of the Hello article, Ellie - the effort is much appreciated
. I agree the things Artem said at the time were a little confusing, but I guess they must have just agreed to avoid making any direct comment to avoid intrusion and I can't blame them for that. It must be horrid to have to face public scrutiny when you're going through your own personal stuff. Thinking back, I'm not sure Artem said anything other than 'Kara and I are fine' (or am I mis-remembering? ). I guess it was a bit of a cover-all sort of comment .....with a touch of mis-direction thrown in!Lovely to see the pic of Kara and Hannah in the DM article again. K in that gorgeous pink Temperley dress looked sensational. Saw a trailer for The Sweeney last night. Think it's on tonight on C4 (at 9pm?). One for the recorder, praps!

Tour Report
Hi everyone.
![]() I'm just back home after attending the matinee in Birmingham. I enjoyed the show. It was different from the previous 4 years. No Artem, of course. Another big difference was no Len and Bruno. Although they can be truly cringeworthy, in some ways I missed them. I think they had a bit more personality than Camilla and Tom Chambers. The whole show is scripted, of course, and Camilla and Tom haven't quite learnt their scripts yet. However, in the next week or so they may grow into their parts. I'll wait to read other reports. I won't do a dance by dance summary (my memory isn't great anyway). There are some backing dancers who participate in some of the routines (as in the series). Caroline's charleston and Thom's latin (salsa/samba?) are examples. There are two men and two women and they also participate in the large group numbers (as does Trent). Also, the singers are out on the dance floor. This afternoon, Caroline and Tristan won with Rachel and Kevin as runners up. I voted ~10 times for Simon and Kristina. They won the first 2 shows, I think, so not too sad they didn't win this afternoon. The standout dance of the show was Simon & Kristina's Argentine Tango, which they performed in the second half of the show. A-MA-ZING. An electric performance. They got more applause by far than anyone for this dance. I loved it. Craig gave them a 9 and the other two judges 10's. Their first dance was latin (salsa, I think) with lots of lifts. No comments needed for Scott & Joanne or Alison & Aljaz. They are fun but not really dancers (the celebs, that is). Mark seemed quite small up close. I never warmed to him but his dances with Karen were fine. She had a lovely dress for the ballroom (with feather trim at the hem). Rachel Stevens is a lovely dancer. She is tiny. She made Kevin look like a big guy! Her dances were the ones she had done with Vincent. The tango was excellent. Not that keen on the rumba but that was mostly because, for me, Kevin just isn't a rumba kind of guy. She looked hot. There was a lot of support from the crowd for Rachel & Kevin. Thom is easy on the eyes. I enjoyed the NY-NY charleston. Caroline & Tristan were also very popular with the crowd. She did the AS but avoided the problem with tripping over the dress as she was wearing the dress from a different ballroom dance (the dress with a fringe skirt). The finale was the Istanbul charleston. Tens across the board, I think. I enjoyed Camilla & Tom's winning show dance which they performed after a group dance but before the glitter ball was awarded. The group dances were based on pro dances from the last series. They did the dance that was performed in Blackpool (I Have a Dream) plus one based on music from Frozen (with a lot of long bits of fabric being wafted about) and possibly also a dance based on the Remembrance Jive they did. My memory is shocking . It was only a few hours ago and I 'm already vague. The celebs were involved in most/all of these group dances but there were sections which involved only the pro's (i.e. more complicated). At the end Craig did a number in which he sang and danced, initially alone then with Tom and Camilla and then the rest of the cast. His singing wasn't bad. All in all an enjoyable afternoon. But, not sure I need to see it again. I missed Artem's lovely dancing. Also missed pros like Natalie Lowe who always engages with the audience. P.S. We have Kara to look forward to next Sunday in Mr Selfridge.

Pleased that you enjoyed the show - I know, we all miss Artem's artistry, but I think we will have to get used to this. I'm surprised they are using the celebs in all the dances this year, Craig is getting his monies worth out of them!! I'm off on my usual jaunt to Glasgow to see the show, and again at the O2. I can't wait, really looking forward to it . |

I didn't feel tempted to go this year as I didn't really have a favourite and I was never a Tom/Camilla fan, but I'm pleased Simon and Kristina are doing so well. I'm a bit that they let Craig do a song and dance (although I shouldn't judge him by his 'dancing on' on the show as I'm sure he's much better in this )

I see the Mirror article above has been repeated in the Daily Record with the headline 'Splitting with Artem broke my heart...Mr Selfridge is healing it', which is not what she said in the interview at all. It must be so annoying being a celeb and doing interviews - Kara seems to be trying to be quite careful what she says about the split so its clear there's no 'story' and the interviews can focus on the show, then they twist your words or put words in your mouth anyway. Then someone else reprints it with their own spin added - like Chinese whispers. It'd drive me nuts.

I missed Craig and Bruno, as predictable as they are they do entertain on the tour. Craig, Len and Camilla would have worked. Tom Chambers got on my nerves ( and the peoples sat around me) he was just irritating. Question - Did the couples 'flop' when they were eliminated? They did on Sunday night and the other couples seemed to laugh naturally when the first couple went and then the others followed. |

BIB, do you mean fall to the floor? No, as far as I can remember their spotlight went out and the couples just stood there. One or two of the couples may have said something but I can't really remember.

Thom and Iveta were eliminated first and they sort of flopped forward from the waist with dangling arms and stayed there. It was quite funny, they were all giggling away.

Think there will be an article in Woman's Own this week about Kara and Hannah. Lorraine maybe doing behind the scenes of Mr Selfridge tomorrow, not sure how certain I am on that, just heard a rumbling somewhere. https://twitter.com/SunTVMagazine/st...139200/photo/1 https://twitter.com/totaltvguide/sta...118272/photo/1 http://www.whatsontv.co.uk/mr-selfri...ur-first-scene |
