Ainsley and Natalie ftw

I do like Jay, he is so shy. Don't think he will be a good dancer though. Neither will beJeremy I think. I do think most of the women will be good and from the men I think Peter Andre is a good mover and Ainsly maybe. Have my doubts about the other men. We will see next week. I'm looking forward to next show.

Jay went to a college for Acting and Dance, so I think he might do better than we think - if he can get past his nerves! His Twitter is funny, too, which helps endear him.

No doubt Peter can move, but is he just too, too cheesy?! Can't wait to find out.

I know lots of people dislike Jamelia (I'm no fan), but I thought she came across really well.

I was surprised at how nervous Jay was. He's an early favourite of mine. I think Ainsley and Nat will be good together, I much prefer her to get him than Jeremy Vine. I was also not looking forward to Jamilia, but I also think she came across very well last night.
There were some weird pairiings too. Ola and Iwan, Carol and Pasha and Katie and Anton and I'm not completely sure about Helen and Aljaz. Time will tell. I hope they post some interim training footage on the SCD website in the next couple of weeks to keep us going.

The EE actress and Kevin are going to be a bit irritating I think. I hope Gleb treats Anita well as I've enjoyed her attitude so far and I hope she can get over her awe at getting him!

Enjoyed the launch show last night, apart from the ones from Corrie and EE at least this year have heard of most and think it seems a good line and also some of the pairings. Have no favourites therefore keeping an open mind at the moment on who will progress or not. Need to see them dance first.
Have no thoughts on the newby's either at the moment except Gleb looked a bit sullen and Giovanne seemed a bit hypo and full of himself, no doubt in time we'll see their personalities before making any judgement.

I enjoyed the opening number thought it all looked very professional and happy ..how thin are the pro ladies .... that could be green cheese having just been weighed this morning ...
Nice to have some new male eye candy a new face on the judges panel would have been a bonus . .
One observation. Did they dress the two older ladies. A tad frumpy ? I believe the weather lady is charming so hope she does well with Pasha .

This is the first one I've been able to watch as I've been having problems with Flash player on the others. Anita is looking pretty good - she seems to have good posture and hands. I wonder if she may suffer in the voting though as she is one of the lesser known celebs and has a new pro, which would be a shame as she seems very keen. What was Gleb like personality-wise on DWTS? I wasn't expecting him to be quite so quiet, but I guess he may just be settling in.

I agree with you about Kellie BTW - she seems a nice lady but I was hoping Kevin would have an early exit this year I hope Jay can overcome his nerves, otherwise it looks like Peter Andre might be the only one standing in the way of another 'Year of the Woman' and I'm just not sure I can get behind him unless he dials down the cheese . As irritating as Ainsley can be, I would quite like it if he turned out to be an amazing dancer and got Natalie her first win - although I won't be placing a bet on it

We only saw him for a few weeks with a celeb, so not much to go on, but he was quietly spoken and happy to let his partner do most of the talking. He did show a dry mischievous sense of humour at times. If there's something that would go against him, it might be the whole 'too handsome to look at' shtick (from Tess/TPTB rather than from Gleb), but hopefully they'll rest that gag now. (Who am I kidding?!).

He's done modelling and seems happy to smoulder down the lens, so I don't think his looks are a burden to him , but he'll alienate viewers if he comes across too pleased with himself.

It was a bit long to watch all the way through, but from what I saw he comes across just fine in that.

I like him, by the way, but I just haven't seen enough of him partnering a celeb to really add much insight on that score (and Anita is a different kettle of fish from Lisa. And Adelina, for that matter ).

I agree there's not much hope that Tess/TPTB will finally show some awareness of when something is getting old, so Gleb's handsomeness will probably become his version of 'from Grimsby'. If he can laugh at himself a bit it might help.


Kirsty looks like more of a beginner than I was expecting, though this may endear her more to the viewers and she seems to have mellowed a bit since her time on 'The Games'. She and Brendan seem a very calm partnership which is a bit surprising, they both look exhausted though It will be interesting to see which Brendan we get this year.

It's funny, I think the Russians come off a 'smouldering' conveyor belt, although I did see a little smoulder from Brendan as he slid and swiveled in front of Darcy and gave 'the look' which made me giggle.

I liked Anita right off the bat, she's feisty, funny and looked good in her first video. They don't seem to have much of a fan base so far. Anita will be featured in Who Do You Think You Are early October so maybe that could help. Anyway, I'm rooting for them and hope they do well.

I've been having a trip down memory lane watching all of Kara and Artem's dances. They were SO good.

I'm enjoying the VTs of the new couples and look forward to the first show in a week's time (I think).
