Article about Kara meeting schoolchildren as part of Dyslexia Awareness Week

http://www.sevenoakschronicle.co.uk/...l/story.html#1

I thought the last sentence was really sweet

"She was so kind and all the pupils got hugs from her. One of the boys said that she was so kind and beautiful that he wanted to marry her."

Very surprised by the result this evening (had not checked the Spoiler).
I thought Jamelia was better than Peter.
I hate the idea that it's all a fix (as suggested on other threads). Just not the way the BBC should behave.

I had read the spoiler, but Jamelia was so clearly better than Peter that the whole thing was awkward - all the judges looked embarrassed and the way they didn't attempt to justify their decision spoke volumes. Left a bad taste

well it did look like a fix. I thought. Darcey looked embarrassed when Len didn't agree .
Maybe they thought he was just having a bad Eve whereas she has struggled. But in the right spirit and if it is on the performance on the night Then Peter should have gone .
I've enjoyed the shows and until last night also the dresses. Katy was the exception .
I have enjoyed the two new male dancers and have felt they have brought a freshness to the show .
Kevin has a good partner altho im not warming to her and I think he looks a bit dated whereas I don't get that feeling about Aliaz but then I have a soft spot for him
Pop into Artems FB from time to time saw his latest arm decoration today ..what makes them do it ? .

Hi Clartem! I'm not really posting or doing much lurking anywhere at the moment. I don't have a favourite yet (I like Anita, Georgia and Jay out of those left) so it's a bit hard to be invested outside of the Saturday/Sunday shows. Hopefully I'll pick one before the final

Nice to see Kara won

Glad Kara won the vote on ITT

Pic of Kara at rehearsals

From Evelyn Hoskins' twitter - she's playing Leisl and I think the guy front left is playing Rolf, but not sure who the others are. It looks like they are rehearsing weekends as well.

Thanks Ellie. Looking forward to recording it and watching it peacefully when I have a quiet moment.
At the moment I am trying to watch French TV more, as it helps get the French language embedded. I found a French pointless, which has a rather tasty presenter and is much simpler than the Brit one. Have yet to work out when the french strictly is on.

French Pointless sounds good I think I remember reading somewhere that shouty salsa man was a judge on French Strictly, but he would probably be the only person I'd recognise.

Three weeks time we'll be mid Sound of Music Live. Crazy!

So it looks like it will be shown on 20th December. Hopefully Kara might go on one of the morning shows to promote it.

thanks, neither of my sons will have arrived by then, so might even be able to watch live.
Am hiding here as I said something impolite about Jay's hair on the Jay thread, and they can get a bit fierce.

Very short interview with Kara here (page 11) - doesn't say much but it sounds like she has more work lined up

Hi Ellie, short but positive article. Loved her line about having the drink lined up, for when she gets over the mountain.
Looking forward to Jay's man rumba tonight. Soupy has come up with a guilt free way of appreciating it.
Kara's was a girl rumba,, jay's will be a boy rumba, so they can both be favourites.

Yes, I like her honesty about her reaction when she got the part too I'd be terrified singing for the first time with all those musical theatre people, so I really admire her for going for it.

Really looking forward to Jay's rumba as well. It will be a nervy wait for the spoiler tonight as I really have no idea how the vote is going, even though everyone on the main board seems convinced Jay is 100% safe but I think that's easier to say if he's not your favourite. It will be even more interesting if Kellie somehow escapes the DO this week.

Numbers 40 to 50 are about the ITV show. It sounds very full on doing rehearsals, daily singing lessons and learning to play the guitar! I should think Kara will be glad of a break when its over.
