ME! A strictly/last night of the proms party! Would much rather be wearing my sparkly pyjamas but kind of got myself into something I couldn't get out of! I won't be able to concentrate fully, so I think I'll rewatch Strictly when I get home ... Have a good look at the celebs! Managed to avoid the spoilers so fingers crossed Artem gets a good one! Hi y'all! I hope everyone is well. Happy with this pairing - hopefully this should mean that Artem will be in the competition for as long as possible! I read the spoilers (I've never been able to resist) and was disappointed when it was first (mistakenly) reported that Artem had got Deborah - so was very glad when that was corrected! I think I had in mind that I wanted him to be paired with Susannah but very happy with Natalie - she's got to be one of the favourites. I hope it's a fun series. I can't BELIEVE we are in September already!

Some really interesting pairings and a good mix of characters this year.

Artem and Natalie will be one of the favourites, what with her dance background and his brilliant choreography. Of course with that comes great expectation and pressure. They're my favourite

I thought Susanna and Kevin made a great pairing and I will be supporting them too.

My first thoughts on the other pairings:-
Anton and Fiona - About time he got someone decent. Whilst he is no James Bond I hope Fiona makes a good 'Ginger' to his 'Fred'
Aliona and Tony- She didn't look too pleased but he is a gentleman and I hope he isn't the first out
James and Vanessa - Hats off to Vanessa, she is a survivor and whilst James is not my favourite pro I think they will make a feisty partnership which will create an interesting dynamic.
Ola and Ashley- Another person I know nothing about but he looks like a good actor- fainting on intro- spontaneous or planned
Iveta and Mark- She seems subdued but I think he could be a dark horse
Anya and Patrick- With her latin passion and his performance skills ones to watch
Ben and Kristina- I like Ben and one of the few 'celebs' I knew. I understand he is 'clinically deaf' but looks like he has rhythm and certainly is easy on the eye
Abbey and Alijaz- the model couple
Brendan and Sophie- I hope she isn't another Michelle or Victoria - promising lots but delivering very little
Robin and Deborah- Bless Bobby, he reacted well and what he lacks in choreo skills he makes up with enthusiasm and will make a good partner for D
Pasha and Rachel- She looks great but I wasn;t that impressed with her moves during the group dance. Pasha is patient and a perfect partner so no doubt will bring out the best in her
Karen and Dave- I love his personality and I think he will bring a lot of fun to the dancefloor.

Just got home from peeve's. I was rubbish at the predictions and only got 5/15. Eselle won with 7 and took the very excellent prize .

Really enjoyed the show and looking forward to quite a few of the couples this time which is great.

Couldn't be any happier about Artem being with Natalie. Fantastic! . (We cheered when he got her )

Will have a catch up tomorrow but agree with a lot of what you say anam
