Morning Swoonies
We had a great time last night. A big thanks to Peeve who is a wonderful host. We had scrummy food and fabulous chat until it was time to watch the show. I only got two right this year.
Having watched it again this morning, here are my thoughts on the pairings.
Natalie and Artem Wow! I was gobsmacked that he got her. I'm very pleased. I hope they hit it off as a pairing. They should be there until the final with luck and so we shoud get to see Artem's wonderful choreography to the max.
Abbey and Aljaz I think we all got this one right. They make a good looking couple. I wonder how popular she's going to be though. We shall see.
Sophie and Brendan I think this is a good pairing looks wise and probably personality wise too. Might be dark horses.
Vanessa and James There was a universal YES from us all last night.
It's going to be an interesting pairing to say the least! 
Fiona nad Anton A great pairing I think. Anton wont be able to play the fool this year.........well, he better not. I'm hoping Fiona is in the show for quite a while.
Deborah and Robin Poor Robin in a way but I do think it's a good pairing up. He'll bring out the fun side of her I think.
Susanna and Kevin Another good pairing. They'll work well together. A middle of the road couple who will be in for quite a while I think.
Rachel and Pasha She seems quite unsure of herself dancewise so I think Pasha is perfect for her. He should nurture her well. She could blossom well.
Mark and Iveta I supose with 4 'character' male celebs not everyone can have a 'good one'. I'm sure Iveta and Mark will have a lot of fun. I love his attitude.
Ben and Kristina I don't know how good he's going to be but I like the pairing. I think he might be a bit of a 'dad dancer'. He might go on a 'journey' in the series.
Ashley and Ola Well, she lucked out didn't she. I hope she can do some inspired choreography so that we see him in the final.
Tony and Aliona Yep, almost predictable (but I didn't get it right). I wouldn't be surprised if he was first out tbh.
Julien and Janette She masked any disappointment well. I'm sorry but I hope he doesn't last long. I guessed this pairing right.
Dave and Karen Another good pairing. Dave looks to be a lot of fun and I don't think Karen got that with Nicky last year. So hopefully they'll both enjoy themselves.
Patrick and Anya This is the other one I got right on the night. Another dark horse who I think will go far. Just not sure how much support he'll have from the public.
Would love to hear what others think. Now I'm going to go and take a peek in at the new Natalie and Artem thread.

KARMA indeed. Strangely I like Vanessa a whole lot more than James. She strikes me as a the type of person that might not go along with Jame's sickly-sentimental style of choreo. Can't wait to see how they cope with each other.

I'm so ashamed Wrenster. I should have been in contact with you (and another) but I've had a tidal wave of stuff happening since about March...I've been struggling and often dreamt of doing a Reggie Perrin.
