I'm so ashamed Wrenster. I should have been in contact with you (and another) but I've had a tidal wave of stuff happening since about March...I've been struggling and often dreamt of doing a Reggie Perrin. My Catholic roots seem to require me to do a bit of public penance and grovelling before I send you (and the other) a personal grovelling and penitent email...

I think the pairings are sound and your assessments are spot on. Not sure Aliona is in this for anything but the money Feel sorry for Iveta but I do think she'll have a nice time with Mark, he seems like a good bloke.

Two things about the opening show -

Anyone think that Count Arthur Strong would make a cracking replacement for Brucie? Count Arthur Strong

Isn't it funny how one can get caught up in Strictly-fever and then a year on not really feel the same about things - Little Louis? Hee!

Verrry happy with Natalie for Artem right now, loving Vanessa & James being paired up together and otherwise liking Brendan & Sophie & Ben & Kristina (if only because he is a thoroughly decent bloke) - he may have the rugby player good or bad dancer sydrome though. My only slight dissapointment, and apoolgies to those who are also Pasha fans, is why did he get another potentially good 'un again (breaking one of the laws of Strictly) ??? Would have swapped with Robin there myself but heigh-ho.

Annnnd having just wandered to the thread from the wilderness my posting is going to be somewhat sparodic this month, I'm off on my jols next week and of course massively disorganised as ever.

Good morning everybody

Who says there are no certainties left in modern day life? After a long - oh well, Relatively Speaking, that is - and indeed hot summer one of our own Belgian TV-guides mentioned the launch show for the very first time! Thank god for huge favours! I hadn't been on here ever since the last June gathering so I would have missed it. The mere horror

I taped and watched and expected the thread would be buzzing, but oh man ... all chicks have come back to the flock already

Anyways, I admit I'm not really very much into it yet but it seems our boy may have hit the jackpot so we might get to see a whole lot of him during the new season. I am really looking very much forward to the new show and to reading all you sweet ladies' comments. I'm feeling a very positive vibe towards this pairing as opposed to the last 2 years'. Keeping fingers crossed no injuries will come inbetween.

Deeply felt thanks to all for keeping this thing going. I must say I feel quite priviliged for having the opportunity to be if only a very small part of this lovely group of people. I'll be hiding in the dark for a bit until the show really kicks off - the start of a new schoolyear is always a bit hectic - but come the end of September this thread will be my lifeline!

You and me both - can't stand this hanging around. But we've got a lovely consolation to look forward to. Weeks (and weeks! and weeks!) of fantastic Artemography. Bet he's like the cat that got the cream. Natalie sounds like a real worker - no half-hearted Hollies or delicate Ferns to worry about this time around. Can't help thinking that life will be a lot easier for Kara too!
