I think something ballroom would be a good start also but I don't really mind. I just want to see them dance!
Me too!

Good morning everybody *waving to all Kartemites*

Who says there are no certainties left in modern day life? After a long - oh well, Relatively Speaking, that is - and indeed hot summer one of our own Belgian TV-guides mentioned the launch show for the very first time! Thank god for huge favours! I hadn't been on here ever since the last June gathering so I would have missed it. The mere horror I taped and watched and expected the thread would be buzzing, but oh man ... all chicks have come back to the flock already Lovely, lovely
Anyways, I admit I'm not really very much into it yet but it seems our boy may have hit the jackpot so we might get to see a whole lot of him during the new season. I am really looking very much forward to the new show and to reading all you sweet ladies' comments. I'm feeling a very positive vibe towards this pairing as opposed to the last 2 years'. Keeping fingers crossed no injuries will come inbetween.

Deeply felt thanks to all for keeping this thing going. I must say I feel quite priviliged for having the opportunity to be if only a very small part of this lovely group of people. I'll be hiding in the dark for a bit until the show really kicks off - the start of a new schoolyear is always a bit hectic - but come the end of September this thread will be my lifeline!

See ya soon, lovely peeps!

Question: what is a Reggie Perrin ?
BV, another moth to the flame Loverrrly to hear from you. I see that Soupy has explained about Reggie Perrin.

Only one, Tipi? Sorry, that's just wrong!

Now that's more like it!

You and me both - can't stand this hanging around. But we've got a lovely consolation to look forward to. Weeks (and weeks! and weeks!) of fantastic Artemography. Bet he's like the cat that got the cream. Natalie sounds like a real worker - no half-hearted Hollies or delicate Ferns to worry about this time around. Can't help thinking that life will be a lot easier for Kara too!
Agreed, it is hard to wait for the first show proper. Also agreed that things are looking good for the partnership. From tomorrow, it will only be two weeks away!

Just checking in for the new series. I'm pleased that Artem has someone who can dance, but sorry in a way that this aspect brings so much tedious ringer chat with it. The best thing that can happen is for Artem to give Natalie such a hard time, with much more difficult routines than the other celebrities will be expected to master, that the public will feel sorry for Natalie. In fact, if she has had all that training she should be expected to master harder routines, so I feel that would be entirely fair. Would be good for the viewers too as we shall get to see 'proper dancing'. In the end it will all boil down to whether people actually like Natalie, since this is after all, reality TV.

If James manages to make Vanessa look even half decent he will have won my respect until the end of time

BIB - can I hear the sound of everyone rushing to iPlayer to check this out?

I didn't watch this dance as it plummeted beneath my embarrassment threshold after about 3 seconds. Must try harder...

Yep, I get the Miss Piggy thing too... oh dear...

CAS is so funny - please listen to his radio show if you haven't already.
Oh dear, oh dear......BIB Toe perming stuff! Thank goodness for the heavy pixellation on iPlayer then

Yes please - you can have too much Latin.

Thanks for pointing out the countdown Soupy. Would have missed that otherwise.

I am liking Karen and Dave very much too. Her tweet about 'shoulders down, chest up' accompanied by a photo of a chicken (sorry veggies) was hilarious!

Hello Rosamunda, I don't believe we've erm met?

So many lurkers, delurking, have been too busy reading to post myself. However I have a big contented smile on my face. I will be mainly waving courgettes this year D as my neighbours keep leaving them on our doorstop. Not one cuc so far.
We were expecting hot showers tonight but heating engineers have a bloqué. There is still a chance as solar panel is working and may get up to warm bath temp. Will feel quite smug if it works as apart from wind in our sails, have never managed to harness the elements before.
Noooney, I am another lapsed but as Nina astutely points out never completely free catholic.
I am happy so far with the Natalie/Artem combination she looks quite feisty and up for it..

Hello, Orkney Sarah. No, we have not met as I'm not a proper Kartemite. Have just been to one event with Belgiumvote to hold my hand. Who knows, we may yet meet up?

Excuse my having another bite at the cherry, but I hope that they will leave Natalie's glorious hair alone. That bun they gave her on the launch looked like the false hair that Victorian matrons used to sport. Please, no more!

Bonne soirée à vous, not sure but bloqué is the excuse of choice if something fails to work. However all bloqués so far have been resolved sans medeçin. Pardon je suis un peu tipsi après l'arrivage du réfrigérateur et being able to cool vin blanc.

I think the difference is that courgettes are less droopy and moist than cuc's, so def preferable. I have to dash as OH is stealing the renewable's::

Apologies to Nina and Tuscan Sun.TS is the lapsed catholic recogniser not Nina. Think Nina and I have football in common, rather than Catholicism.
Looking forward to seeing you next week as well Wrenny.

BeeVee!!!!!!! Clartster!!!!!

EVERYONE!!!!!!!

You lot make me smile so much.

*just pretend I'm typing in French or at least with a French accent* Loving the look of Sophie and Brenda...I'm really liking what appears to be this new approach to showing lots more dancing...on a dance show!!!!!! (Nina tribute) Who'd have thunk it would work.

So right about Nat's launch bun - that sounds like a euphemism for her being up the duff but you all know it's not.

Going to have to get a grasp on all this cucumber/courgette business.

Agree about Karen and the Hairy Dancers too - I think Karen is a trifle nutty and I like that about her.

BeeVee, glad someone explained Reggie Perrin to you. It's all about walking into the sea and I've felt like doing that on and off for the past 9 months. I've had annus horribilis in all directions. There is light at the end of the tunnel now...Praise Be!

This is just an omnibus good morning wave to all those kind Kartemites who have been waving to me. Am awaiting man in van who has come to repair a chipped windscreen. Gosh, I have romantic and fun-filled Friday mornings. Bye.
