Thanks for all the links and pix. I'm supposing Kara might have taken the group shot. What do you think?
I had a big day at work yesterday and a lot of prep had to go into it and so now all that is out of the way I can breath and feel I have some more of my life back.
A couple of weeks ago Mr Noone and I decided to have a long weekend in London - with things going on in our lives we haven't had a proper break for 2 years - and had a lovely schedule of exhibitions and theatre trips.
We saw lots of great stuff - recommend Memory Palace at the V & A, Ladykillers (very good) and Private LIves (excellent). I thought'd I'd booked for Chimerica on Sat night but at around about 5.30pm on the day checked the tickets and discovered I'd booked the matinee perf...so we'd missed it (b*gg*rs!). Mr Noone and I decided to drown our sorrows in a pub and decide what to do.
We thought the only option was to have nice meal and decided that Cafe Koha was the perfect place to do this. Long story short (and after cocktails and a bottle of wine) we watched the crowds gather for Daniel Radcliffe's last night and (little did we know) Kara's last night too.
Kara appeared, Mr Noone told me to go and say hello or he would, Mr Noone does and tells Kara that the shy (feltie) woman was in Cafe Koha. Mr Noone comes back to me and I noticed Kara talking to 2 women (thought flitted through my mind - they're Kartemites).
Then Kara starts walking toward Koha, I go out to meet her followed by Mr Noone. As you all know Kara is the sweetest and most open, lovely person and it was a joy to meet her for a few minutes. I just thanked her for her lovely Strictly season (naturally she poo-pooed all compliments
) and thanked her for being the catalyst that brought Kartemites together
to which she replied, 'I know, I can't believe it...and there are two of them over there waiting to talk to you!'
Soooo, as a result of wasting money and missing the hottest ticket in town and by some fluke of fate I got to meet Kara and Siriol and crazy4kartem too!
How nuts is that!
