Seriously OT but I said I'd let Nooney know how we got on with our bread making today.

All three of us have our heads swimming with information from today (it was a one day course on making Sourdough). Lots of information to take in and we all have bread coming out of our ears (I've frozen 2 1/2 loaves). We made a rye bread with carraway and figs in, a multi seed loaf and a brown one and a white one. It was great fun with just the three of us there!

Back on topic. That looks like a lovely place in Spain to have a meal!

So good to see some returning posters as well as the regulars & newbies… you are all wonderful folk bringing your talents to our communal Kartemite table.

My thoughts ( for what they are worth )on this season’s partnerships

Anton & Fiona – The man might not be the best all round dancer but his ballroom is sublime. He’s been a saint with what he’s had to put up with, so deserves someone as elegant as Fiona, Very well matched,

Abbey & Aljaz –Think this pairing was as I expected & a good looking couple. Not seen any action in the rehearsal room yet .

Tony & Aliona – Her smile was forced but she is having a wonderful time in Florida. Hope Len doesn’t read her tweets as it’s all about playing golf – not much news on the dancing front! She probably knows her days are numbered so making hay while the sun shines!

Robin & Deborah - I thought Robin might be due a contender this year, but the powers that be probably thought he had such a whirl & was in the limelight so much with Lisa last year that it was his turn for someone more sedate .I like her –they’ll be fine.

Mark & Iveta.- I liked Iveta last year & like fun loving Mark too. Could they surprise us – maybe another Russell??

Vanessa & James -It was time he had a real challenge! James has his work cut out with Vanessa but I must admit, other than her verbal diarrhoea, she is growing on me because she is trying so hard. Her moves don’t seem at all natural yet & I thought there would be more fireworks!! Fun ahead.

Julian & Janette – Bright ,bubbly & seem to be having a lot of fun. I know most of you find him very irritating but I don’t mind his over the top ways ( & I don’t THINK it’s the Welsh thing!) Will this over exuberant pair of puppies surprise us?

Sophie & Brendan – Lucky Brendan. A great pairing ,already looking very able in the VT. In for a good while unless she comes unstuck in the Latin.

Rachel & Pasha - Bit disappointed that he had someone who everyone thought would be good. It should have been his time for an older, less able partner. Having said that, I didn’t think she moved very rhythmically in the group dance, so we shall see……

Ben & Kristina – Mmm!. I think he was probably meant for Natalie before a bit of a reshuffle so Kristina has been very lucky. I’d read too that he was clinically deaf but I suspect he’ll have a huge following from his rugby & gay connections. But ( whispering in case I get lynched) I’ve gone off Kristina a bit because of her intense self promoting. Not loving her current crop of pics, all a bit …… I like him a lot & I know I shouldn’t let my feelings influence me. Would have loved him with Nat. Sorry!

Ashley & Ola – Well her reaction (&his!!) said it all. I’m glad Ola has had a potential front runner at last & I think they’ll be great to watch-probably right up to the final!

Susanna & Kevin – I’m really liking Kevin & his enthusiasm. This might be helped by his being so friendly & charming on meeting him after BTF. Susanna seems happy & smiley too, so liking this pair a lot.

Patrick &Anya – He looked as though he had good rhythm in the group dance. He’s quite high profile in Casualty at the moment so should do well with votes.

Dave & Karen
– Loving their partnership & loving their “beans on toast” banter! They are a definite fun couple & I think he will charm the punters into voting!!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

Natalie & Artem
– So pleased Artem has got a potential contender & a hard worker, giving us a chance to see his fabulous choreography to the max. There will be no holding back this year! Pleased too, that Natalie, is admitting to her previous dance training (as all drama school pupils have!), not like DVO playing the” hard done by” card last year! I’m hoping the public will like her for that. Couldn’t see much from their first VT except Artem’s meticulous preparation but yesterday’s pic showed great promise. They seem to be getting on well so pray the press will not raise it’s ugly head & we get to see him at his best.

Obviously, we have no idea of the choreographical & teaching skills of the new pros yet so exciting times ahead.!!

Glad to be back in the Strictly fold. Love to you all.xx”

Glad you are back seren

Dougray Scott was on Lorraine's show this morning, but sadly not Kara (although referred to by Lorraine as the "lovely" Kara Tointon but no mention of her not being there in person). The film looks really good and Kara looked beautiful in the clip they showed. The film opens here in October. Tom Ellis was on later, I wish he would sign up for SCD, he's so lovely.

Very much looking forward to this series, quietly optimistic. I thought Natalie came across well in the training clip, very likeable. I hope they don't play too much on her Corrie character in the VT's, but then I hope the VT's won't be so cheesy this season, a faint hope I know.

I'm going to miss the first shows but look forward to reading all the comments when I'm back. Nice to see some familiar names posting again - the gang is nearly all here!

For those who missed the Last Passenger Q&A on twitter today....here are the questions and answers

The Last Passenger Q&A with Kara Tointon and Dougray Scott

Q from @gwill43 - Did either of you get claustrophobic while filming&did it give you any fears about travelling on trains?

Dougray - I was certainly aware of the confined space when filming. Everytime I get on a train I think of #LASTPASSENGER

Kara - It did give me a slight claustrophobic feeling. It didn't give me fear of traveling on trains but I wouldn't like to be on this one!

Q from @clinksevans What made you decide to do this film ? And what are you working on at the moment ?

Kara - I met Omid & he showed me the train he had made which blew me away! And then he said Dougray was doing it! - I audition too!

Dougray - I loved the script, it reminded me of Hitchcock. I'm about to start the 2nd season of Hemlock Grove.

Q from @JamieGarwood - what will an audience enjoy most about this film

Dougray - They will be able to relate to the realistic way the characters react to the extraordinary situation they find themselves in

Q from @SarahCorney1 do you prefer theatre or film?

Kara - I've been in theatre land for the last 3 years but enjoy them both in equal measure for different reasons.

Dougray - They are VERY different. I feel equally excited about the both them but in different ways…. It's always good to return to theatre because it flexes your acting muscles

Q from @jane9668 How long did it take to film Last Passenger?

ANSWER: 5 weeks

Q from @clinksevans how do you relax and switch off after a long day filming ?

Dougray - "Sex"

Kara - "I can't top that, so I wont!"

Lovely photo of them both

This one only needs feeding once every 2 weeks kept in the fridge which seems fairly low maintenance, but I don't think it'll be much fun on a walk .

my sourdough reluctance probably has to do with us only getting through one loaf a week and so I'm not sure it's worth the ritual.

Sorry Seren, I can't see the charm. Jules leaves me cold. One watch of that British model thing and the relish in bullying bitchiness just put me off.

That's what Dougray would like us to think. I bet it's all slippers, whiskey and a snooze.
