Morning Soupy, I was just about to post that too!

Really interesting to find out more behind the scenes. How she got picked for the show and 'stuff'. Definitely worth a read!

Definitely worth a read ... I think she's really enjoying the experience! Feel a bit jealous of the celebs!

Have voted on every computer in the house ( John builds them!!) He has at least two operating systems on each one so I think that may be 10from him & 2 from me! Will that do? He has just shouted to me that his votes on all the browsers from each computer have been accepted !

Crazy I've put a pic of Kara from the Radio Times on Twitter but don't know how to bring it over. Thick!

Hi SMW, We have our RT delivered & sod's law the wrong one arrived! Found the right one eventually. I know , I know I'm pathetic!!

She didn't tweet much about dancing, but loads about golf whilst in Florida! Reckon she could see things would be a bit hopeless so gleaned all the golfing tips she could instead! The dancing looked really grim, poor man couldn't even balance. I wear hearing aids but I don't get THAT problem!!!

I do like Vanessa's attitude. Let's hope she gets a chance to bite back.

Nooney, I SO agree , I know very little about this dancing lark, but I DO know what I like re music, costume, dance & obviously the personalities of the couples.Take last year, DVO was by far the most proficient dancer but I think her personality possibly lost her the title. The overall package wasn't right. As you say , Noone , just my opinion. So PM join the clan!!

I've always thought Vanessa a bit of a harridan and she would probably have swallowed Artem whole had he been her partner! But James is a great match & her attitude to the whole thing is just right. Her dancing looked a bit suspect but would love it if she could surprise us !

I'm really looking forward to seeing Natalie dance with Artem, I have high hopes for them. I have to say this year there isn't really anyone I have taken an immediate dislike to, which is extremely rare I think I'm going to enjoy this series as they all look like they want to be there rather than need to be there to raise their profile. Well, I'm hoping anyway

GBBO time, happy days.”

Sorry to hear of your redundancy Scout, You & Traceyno Have been very unlucky. Off topic a bit , but if it's any consolation, my son's company in Bristol is closing down & we've had a very worrying 3 months, as he has 3 small children & a big mortgage ! But last Monday he heard he has another job, so really he's in a better position than he was before. A bit longer travelling but a bit of redundancy money behind them! So I wish you & Traceyno the same luck love,

BIB On face value I like most of them too.Fingers crossed for a brilliant season.

Hi Soupy. I agree, but I think a few of the female pros do that, Kristina in particular, But this year both girls have promising partners so lets hope they let THEM shine.

A great read. I wonder if any of the other names being bandied around at the time became rejects at some stage in the procedure?

Last year we had great fun with the code names but this year only Fiona's has come to light.Do you know any others?

Wren , I can't believe you'll miss tomorrow night, what bad planning!!( says me who missed the Launch Show on the night!)

Reporting each week on Twitter, Facebook,The Kara & Artem thread, The Artem thread and here on Natalie & Artem's thread, is going to be too much for this Granny brain, so can I ask where most of you will be most of the time please? I want to be part of the hype but also have on-going commitment in real life, with baby sitting duties & hospital appointments etc

Have a shimmering, Strictly weekend everyone !

Hi Seren, you're in competition with me for the title of multiquote queen!

I'll be on here and on the N&A thread mostly. Will probably not be able to give my thoughts on the couples until Sunday.
I'll echo your wish to everyone to have a great Strictlyfied weekend!

Hi all after a week of packing up house and facing the fact that I am leaving the area that has been home for the last 28 years, I am sitting down for a few minutes.
Didn't think I would be able to see it as tele has gone, but am slipping over to Soupy's to watch, so allowing myself to geta bit excited as well.
I will continue to post mostly here but also the N&A thread I think.
Fingers crossed it will be a good night for all

Wishing you well with your move and farewells Clartem. A fresh start lies ahead...your new home looks amazing, WOW in fact.

I wish you and Soupy, and all kartemites, a Strictly fabulous night tonight. It's been a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng wait.

There are so many couples I like, on first impressions, that I'm really looking forward to the show tonight and tomorrow.

Hi Seren - I'll post here if it's about K and A and the Natalie/Artem thread if it's about them. Where to post general ramblings about the show as a whole tho'???

If the Natalie and Artem partnership garners lots of new appreciators (unlike poor Fernie last year ) it doesn't seem quite right to swamp that thread with our OT ramblings (and it might come across as a bit cliquey - wouldn't want to put newbies off ), but, on the other hand they are 'this year's couple', so feel we should post there. Think that's where I'll start off and see how it goes....

Sorry, that's a long winded way of saying, not really sure!

BIB That sounds sensible Soupy. I'll probably ramble about the couples as a whole in here and keep the N&A thread to comments on them.........or try to anyway!

Thanks col 1n.

OH has just made us a Negroni - to remind us of Tuscany he says! One part each of Campari, red Martini, and gin. Blimey, it's good - but any more than one and your legs take on a life of their own!
