Thank you, SusieQ.....I also...would truly appreciate a PM of the conversion. And also, do you recall the "postings" that were going-up on the screen behind Artem as he was doing his monoloque? His monoloque seemed to have been "cut short" compared to what other attendees have quoted him as saying. Did you find that to be? I didn't hear any mention of "Kara wanting to learn how to dance and he......etc, etc." Or the Russian Method he endured from his dance teachers in Russia. I'm not going to repeat any of the "spoilers" here.
Thank you in advance Sweet Sue!!!
Hi CaliGirl, I suspect almost everyone is going through the agony of watching Andy Murray playing tennis right now. I'm sure SQ will be on here later though.

Am I the only one....that after having a rigorous day-of-it and needs a "feel good moment"...sits down at the computer with a cup of coffee (Americans drink a lot of coffee), tea, or a cold drink (depending on the weather)..and watch a favorite video of Artem and Kara's dances from SCD 2010? I know which are my favorites that I watch many times. Do you have favorites?

Yep, Wrenny. Just finished watching the match. He won! So glad it's finally happened for him

Caligirl, I'm sending you the link now. Artem comes on stage several times to talk, so you'll find the things you mention in some of the other videos

Am quoting fridge as Feeling very lazy. Am back in the uk for 10 days and seem to have fitted a huge amount in, including finding a job for son no 2 and a new place to rent and meeting wrenny, peeve and fridge for a walk and having my mother to stay for almost a week.
We are both exhausted after the Andy win very grateful it only lasted 3 sets.
Suzie Q
I love you
could I have the video too

I also have a very soft spot for the foxtrot, cos that was the dance that hooked me on their partnership.

Just bumping this up and updating date wise.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADDING YOUR NAME!!!!!!!

Either...

Copy and paste the list without using quote. This loses the formatting so you'll have to re-bold the names if you want to be 'tidy'

or....

quote the last updated list and then remove the square brackets before and aft and any extraneous text. This at least keeps the formatting. You can then add your own name and bold it (if you want).

Oo Wrenny My name seems to have disappeared from the list. It's the last night performance for me. So ... suggestions please for questions to Artem ( I'm still not sure if anyone has resolved the one-trouser leg mystery. Has anyone asked?

Thank you SusieQ......I got them!! Because of you, I had a constant smile on my face (the whole time watching the videos). You obviously had great seats. WOW!!! I don't care if some of the faces were "white-out" ....you did a great job!!! Just being able to see his dances (I could see all the footwork) and hear Artem"s monoloques, that's all that matters! Your a "gem" , but I think I've told you that before.

Hi ML, sorry 'bout that. I just quoted from the last list that I'd brought over from the previous thread. You must've got lost somewhere in the cyber stratosphere!!! I'm glad you've reinstated yourself. The question was asked of Kara the other day and she said she'd ask Artem, but there was so much chat late that evening that I'm sure it got lost too. So yes, if you get a chance to ask Lisa a question (she's the only one that takes questions) then that would be a great question...........apart from what his bum feels like of course........ the choice is yours!!!

The first question to Lisa in the show I saw was 'what's Artem's phone number?'

It was really funny, with her refusing to tell us, then saying she might consider it if we opened some kind of private bank account for her. Artem came on from the wings on the other side and stood looking mock-severe until she refused again.

Thanks Wrenny, I often feel lost in the cyber stratosphere .
If I get the chance I think I'll stick to the hopping trouser question

We asked Ian why Artem rolls one trouser leg up, he smiled and said because Artem likes showing his legs off

Ha!

Thing is, Artem isn't the only dancer who does it, so surely it must mean something.

Thanks for asking Traceynoe , but why does he only like to show off one leg?!

I've had a little hunt around the internet and am starting to think there isn't a 'satisfactory' answer . It might be an inexplicable dancer fashion thing.

There are lots of suggestions to do with rapper fashion (either copying LLCoolJ or showing off your expensive socks ) gang culture, a prison thing, wearing (or not wearing!) a tag, drug dealing (buying or selling ) and BMX fashion (not getting caught in your chain ) but not anything really dance related!

Nearest sensible suggestion I could find was wanting to show/see the leg position clearly whilst keeping the other leg a bit warmer if carrying an injury.

I wonder if it might come from female ballet dancers who are being lifted. Maybe there's a 'lifting' leg and it's safer without loose clothing and then it just caught on as a fashion for no good reason .
