I thought it was a great show tonight anam - glad you enjoyed it too! Phew!
Agree with many of your comments but especially this ^. Sophie was brilliant and outshone Brendan, I think. I almost felt the lifts interrupted some great dancing and I could have done without one or two of them. Maybe my fave Strictly Charleston. Evah! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() BIB wouldn't disagree, pretty special and I would definitely watch it again! Quote:
I may be alone here, but I wish they'd given the celebs 2 weeks to bed in and the first vote out was after the third dance. Aliona & Tony, for me, are the easy option to go this week as I can't see him improving very much. However, I have to say that I really like all of them (even Julien) because they all seem to want to learn to dance. Even though I already had a liking for Vanessa I found her VT tonight very touching, because I think it's so true that it's hard to describe how dancing makes you feel until you truly experience it. Then there's also the attachment to the Professional Dancers, which makes the choice of the bottom two even more difficult.
Well, for what it;s worth, my choice for the two in the dance off tomorrow would be - Rachel & Pacha and Tony & Aliona. Purely based on the celebs, they are the two I would miss most. Argue away............ ![]() Quote:
Soupy I had to change my password then it was too late to vote! I did sneak a few in on my phone whilst I waited for the link to change my password.
Agree with you, Sophie outdanced Brendan. Hi Anam, Glad you enjoyed it. But I'm not a massive fan of Deborah. It always sounds promising then doesn't match expectations. I thought she was overmarked last week. I wonder if Tony will get a lot of sympathy votes? ![]() ![]() Tony got a few votes from this household...surrounded by golfers who remember his glory days ![]()

Watch Sophie and Brendan and our Artem and Natalie before you go to bed. Just lovely.
![]() :sleep:Quote:
Hi OS, off the top of my head. Sophie did an amazing Charleston, Natalie did a beautiful Waltz, Abbey had a few mistakes in her Cha Cha, Mark was a riot.......can't think what else particularly. Am just about to shut down and get some shut eye! Hope someone else can fill in more. Night..:yawn::sleep:

Brendan should be really proud of himself tonight, he choreographed a fab Charleston that suited Sophie to a tee. In fact I thought all of the Pro's choreographed to their celebs strengths this week. Imo Iveta is a revelation, I love the way she's building Mark's confidence and dance skills at the same time. Really glad she's a full-time pro this season.
I really liked Nat & Artem's waltz too but she reminds me of Kara at this stage of the show. She's performing all of the steps as instructed, has grace and musicality, but she hasn't learnt to relax into the music yet. I think she'll be amazing when she "feels" the dance as well as performs it. I really hope they do a foxtrot to a "traditional" song. I can just imagine Nat gliding around the floor to an old "Ratpack" number I'm really enjoying this series, much more than the last two.

Don't know if anyone lurks on twitter but I had a little check on Kara's page last night and she was having a brief conversation with someone, who said she was looking forward to strictly, and Kara's response was "me 2 x x x"
So she's watching and enjoying which is nice to hear. Id love to see her in the audience one day. |

![]() ![]() ![]() Waving to all friends old & new ![]() Slightly off topic but my friend alerted me to a new font that has been specifically developed for people with dyslexia. Looks uncomfortable if you don't have the condition but my friends children find it a boon. http://opendyslexic.org/about/ |

![]() ![]() ![]() Susanna Reid - Not bad, a bit gappy and a bit 'solid' if you know what I mean. Tony - Oh bless. It was very sedate but not totally horrible IMO. Nat - very good, very easy to watch. I think she just needs to let go a bit and 'sweep' with the romance of it all. Dave - Awww bless, he's just not a natural at all is he? I wonder if he can even follow a beat. I still like him. Patrick - I thought he looked very stodgy and wooden. Don't get what Craig sees. Rachel - She's the Julie Andrews of dance - soooo proper, too proper. I'd love to her be able to have confidence and just go for it. Vanessa - a saunter rather than a dance. Funnily, I thought Rachel's dance seemed to last longer than 90 secs and Vanessa's about 30 secs. I like her though. Julien - not as 'screaming' as previously but camp as Christmas. Don't totally hate. Fiona - Bless her. Potential by the bucket load if she can control her nerves. Mark - Love him. Love Iveta. Loved the performance and can't wait to see what he does next. ![]() Sophie - Brilliant dance (Charleston + Jitterbug) including the lifts. Second favourite Strictly Charleston. ![]() ![]() Ben - hm, well...er...almost not a breeze block. Abbey - Oh dear she lost it, shame. Bit sulky princess but Alijaz more than makes up for all her weaknesses. Grrrrr.Ahslee - Like him a lot, loads and loads of potential. Love his grace. A bit joggy, but you can see him feeling the music and the style of it. Withore ease with the whole process and I think he might be a winner. Favourite dance of the night for me. |

http://opendyslexic.org/about/ ![]() This is brilliant, thank you so much for posting it. I use Trebuchet at work because it's meant to be one of the best fonts for dyslexics. I'll be using this one too. ![]()

Nooney - thanks for your take on the dances - sorry to cut the post, but the first ^^^^ made me laugh. Thing is, I don't think she is all that proper in real life but she does come across that way in her dancing. As for Fiona, I'll have to rewatch to see if she was any good. I was too distracted and traumatised by the appearance of Little Anton
