French diary warning.
Morning spent digging a rather large piece of ground. Only way to tackle it is an hour or two each day. OH has skirting board painting. Same rule applies.
In the afternoon went to french class, today I was in a class with three Armenian women, who spoke Russian to each other throughout the class. Once I decided that I would go with the flow and learn Russian instead, I enjoyed myself
For supper we ate the crab I brought from the fishing boats yesterday. Again made a fool of myself by asking which was the back of the queue and then going to the front by mistake amid sniggers from rest of queue. ( lucky escape as queuing for fish is a serious business and people have sharp elbows.
Our neighbour is away for 3 weeks and has told us to pick her veggies. I collected a couple of kilo's of walnuts from the ground under her tree, but will keep most for her.
I am a little friendsick, but otherwise settling

You crack em and eat em, or throw them in salads or cakes.
As it you Nina I can talk football. Out local team is Lorient. However OH is a wolves supporter in Angleterre and we think he has jinksed Lorient by attending their matches, they are now in the drop zone.

Thanks Clarty. I'm fed up of continually (last two years) mentioning how busy I am (I'm sure we're all headless chickening) but it's just so frustrating to not feel as if one is on top of things (as the actress said to the bishop).

Thanks for the lovely thoughts. I think things just need to get steady. I've had a lot of little upheavals (a couple of biggies too) and it's a pain not to have consistency and reliability...so nothing that deserves a lot sympathy, really. I just want to have more 'mental' space to be able to play

What a day!!! My Mum and youngest brother moved down from Gloucestershire to Somerset today. I drove up early this morning to pick them up. Saw the removal van off then said goodbye to Mum's friends and the lovely pub and set off. We had her two cats in the car who howled THE WHOLE WAY!!! 1.5 hours worth of howls! That was fun!!! We've done a fraction of the unpacking so far but at least they're down here in Somerset with me now!
I wont need rocking tonight! :sleep::yawn::sleep:

Hello again to the thread. Wow, the Kartemites still going strong after 3 years, if you are still Kartemites in the way it was. Great to see it's still here, that you're all still here. I haven't been on DS for quite a while - can't actually remember the last time, but it was after the mad, crazy and wonderful whirlwind which was Kara and Artem.
I remember that year so vividly; fun, fear, exuberance, exhilarating excitment... and faith and prayer... plus a humungous phone bill. I had the Kartem bug so badly it could be accurately described as an obsession. Every day on the thread, and lived on it every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with massive support from everyone else on the thread.
I've been struck by Strictlyitis again but nothing could compare to that year. They were magic. I still watch their dances, yet somehow I don't have to because the memory of some of them is so strong.
It really is great to see the thread has survived, and probably thrived since then, and also changed and grown, evolved.
Good wishes to all, and I hope life has been treating you well.

I've been struck by Strictlyitis again but nothing could compare to that year. They were magic. I still watch their dances, yet somehow I don't have to because the memory of some of them is so strong.
