Thanks to everyone for all the comments on the dances over the weekend, I have been a shamefacedly Strictly part-timer of late in constant catch-up mode.

Thanks also to everyone posting Last Passenger stuff.

Agreed with the comments on the fab u lous Rumba, just beautiful, intense, head and shoulders above any other dance, and of course featuring the inevitable chesticles (I always love a black shirt though ). The inevitable and depressing ‘ringer’ comments are around, because in Strictly land some things never change.

Also agreed with thinking that Sophie just seemed too casual, too laid back, perfect style for the Charleston but just not ‘oommpphh-ey’ enough.

Totally loving Ben , really hoping he can get better because what’s not to love, I will still really love him even if he does a rugby player man-stompy Paso (a la Kenny Logan) , well just about.

Really liked Ashley as well, will be hard to beat and he’s bound to be in for the inevitable Ola lace catsuit week (ie lift-tastic week).

Suzanna & Kevin, she loves dancing , he’s very cute and has a wicked, wicked in a good way wicked Artem impression (injury porn –ahoy !) on ITT this evening – you really need to catch it if not seen (yeah, because I'm turning up here being 'ole boosy boots)

Interestingly loads of support of Mark & Iveta, however I watched Strictly on Sat night with someone who does dance who reckons he was very flat footed ?? ?? but hey what do I know.

Hated Abbey’s socks, too much faffing on the wall (why isn’t Len objecting about faffing yet ?), think I like this partnership but she needs to be a bit less of an old mardy face at times.

Julian – please just go away.

Oh and Onesies need to be stopped – just that. Stopped. Like Julian.

Me too! Really sweet.

ITT - loved Kev's impressions of Artem. And yay, Karen mentioned that Ashley's dance was too slow...and I don't think she's as keen on Patrick's dancing as the judges either.

Boozy boots or bossy boots, need to know before I decide whether to watch or not.

Be Little Miss Bossy Boots, because Kev was funny and I love the phrase "injury porn".

Hmm, Mark might be flat footed. It's probably difficult for him to lift his body weight as easily as others.

BIB - I have to confess I'm finding her a bit irritating and hopes she stops sulking...then I can love her again.

Dare I say that I'm liking Julien more than I ever thought I would. He's less screeching than I was expecting.

Thanks Nina .

I'm not getting the Ashley love . He's the best male sleb this year, but the standard is generally poor. I don't think it's just Ola's choreo that puts me off...*perplexed*

He was my only 'hate* figure' this year (although Vanessa had her moments ) and I'm a bit annoyed that I might be changing my mind. I like at least a little bit of certainty ... *more perplexed than before*

*not proper hate, you understand, just Strictly version.

Well quite, because I do feel like I want to like these two.

He's less screeching I will grant him that, but still as annoying as a wet weekend in wetweekendsville. One picture of him in a Onesie mid- shriek and that's it, I'm over the edge Carrie Homeland style.

Aye Clarty, to be bossy or not to be (Shakespeare being well known for his use of the introduction 'Aye')

Hmm, I can see what you mean, Ashley is built up as almost too kind of good to be true, but he really seems to enjoy it. I get that Ola's choreography could be more updated, it doesn't stand out say next to Karen.

Strictly hate, it always comes sprinkled with glitter

Haha! Imagining you swivelly-eyed, sequinned strait-jacketed, summoning gargantuan effort to slur out suitable Carrie expletives.

*perplexed at your perplexion*

I'm not in lust with Ashley, I just think he seems like a nice guy and has potential to dance really well. Not sure what I think about Ola's choreo to be honest, I'll watch more closely.

Tis a bit weird that Julien isn't causing my teeth to curl...I'm a tad disappointed.

Yep, like is probably a better term. I want to like them too but do we think that Aljaz probably finds Abbey a bit princessy? I'm probably being influenced by the ITT VTs but he did seem to holding a lot of pent-up frustration behind his clenched teeth.

BIB - Snortingly funny

BIB - oh, I didn't read it that way Noonster .

My perplexion is only that there's a lot of enthusiasm for his dancing (here, judges, generally) and I don't seem to be able to see why . He seems nice enough and I guess I see some potential but can't get further than that. *shrug* - not important

Didn't mean to imply that you were implying, was just being all pedanty about myself.

I think I have a more 'come on my son' vibe about Ashley, a more optimistic view of his potential than you do... a glimmer of hope for the male camp (not discussing Julien here, Ninster). Actually, what I think I like about him is his potential grace...I think he might be very smooth and elegant if he can get his act together.

I'd like to think that Ben has true potential but to be honest Kristina does such a good job of bodacious camouflage I'm not 100% sure how much he's progressed. I'm hopeful though.

I think Karen Hardy said much the same. I did think he was better so I hope it wasn't an illusion . He has salsa this week. Eek!

Eek! No, I thought he looked better too. Less self-conscious. I thought there was a few clunky moves but I'm ready to believe that Salsa might round off even more corners...or have me watching through my fingers. He's such a love though.

I do think that, although I do tell myself many, many times not to be influenced by an ITT edit. I do think she can be bright and bubbly, and did say herself the other day that she didn't have a 'cob on' after the cha, cha. Maybe she just gets disappointed with herself but if it turns into a bit of a winge -fest I can see why Aljaz finds that frustrating.

Yeah, but there are always some people you just don't 'get' for whatever reason. I couldn't warm at all to Kimberley last year, despite her being very good at dancing and spritely and everything. For some reason I just didn't get it - if there was a shrug smilie I'd use one

I concur, if he just loses a bit of the 'Mr Perfect' tag, admittedly that the programme & Tess are landing him with he could have real potential.

I'd like to think Ben has more potential as he is just lovely, which isn't the most valued critique ever and will probably not prove to be correct. Love the description of Kristina's bodacious camoflage and expect to see it forcibly employed in an ArgentineTango near you soon.

OT: Brody can stay away - I'm shipping Carrie and Quinn! . And Dana can bugger off (unless she's planning to become radicalised ). Can't be doing with the teen angst .

In other matters...must attend to my recording of GBBO. Cake!

Ahhh Quinn, if Rupert Friend ever turnds up on Strictly that's my phone bill done for. But we need Brody back to deflect from the Twilight-ims of the Dana story line, although radicalised........ I like the thinking

Enjoy Bake-Off, some tough judging this week, but I thought a fair result.

I need to get out more and stop watching so much tv.
