Hi Soupy, yes I am. Just unexpected arrival of my son tomorrow. Will have to see if I can fit everything in. But will definitely share my thoughts if I see it.

Hi all quiet moment while waiting for the washing at the laverie.
All well here, house and painting progressing slowly but surely.
Big hick up with electric supply, but while it has incensed OH briefly , probably will get sorted in time.
I am having French lessons from the carpenters who are cladding the building. They write my words for the day on pieces of red cedar.
They have made themselves very comfortable with a barbecue, caravan and swim every night off a nearby quay.
One of them seems to have taken charge of my garden planning as has asked the guys who are putting in mains drains if we can have the huge rocks they have dug up.
Looking forward to more reports and hope everyone going to dance to the music has a great time.
Suzie q have watched half of your videos. Thank you for spoiling us again.

Kilts will be worn in Edinburgh

Andi Denny @DarkFlameboy 3h
Spending my day putting Strictly Come Dancing pros in kilts. Artem will be topless. Obviously, as a ‪#‎gay‬ man, this all means nothing to me.

Waves back. Thanks for the tweets and for ignoring my dance to the music comment. was that last year?
Sitting in a bar still covered in white paint spots after two attempts at scrubbing, hey ho they will only get replaced tomorrow.

Eveeeening........

Peeps round door to say hello after a loooonnng absence from thread. Takes out 'Big Book of Pathetic Excuses for not Posting' (volume 24), reason one started a new job (ahem in January ) reason two watching Sherlock box sets (ahhhh, seen those enough times already to be able to quote entire lines), booking holiday (doh ! don't go away until September), getting over pretty nasty virus (because coughing clearly stops me from typing ), realising it's a heatwave (and can't possibly be indoors). and then thinks damn it !

Wanted to drop by to say hello to Kartemites old and new and to say ; firstly that it was great as ever to meet everyone in London the other week (errrr 2 weeks ago). A room full of Kartem gangsters definitely makes the time fly by and even better that Kara took the time to come round to the Koha and talk to us all. Great play, great company and bubbly on top - couldn't be better

And secondly that Strictly Confidential is a geat show !
I was partly avoinding thread related stuff as I know I end up clicking on spoilers if I come in (such is my will power) but it was very different to the show I was kind of expecting.
FAB-U-LOUS dancing and our seats gave us a great view of the infamous Artem chesticles
Ok so there's a few things I can remember :

Spoiler
So much content in the show that picking out individual parts is not easy. For an unusual format it really worked and I have to say that some of that is down not just to great dancing but how well Lisa engages and brings in the audience. I'm no big Lisa Riley fan but I thought she came across far better than on Strictly and with a far better sense of humour.
I thought the Emmerdale dance section was really well put together, I know next to nothing about Emmerdale but it was a dance and story easy to follow & imaginatively done. Just a thought, but sadly one that will now not come to fruition, what the blue blazes could Aliona have done with Eastenders ????
Enjoyed the little sections of the dancers' backgrounds, always great to hear from 'the lovely Ian Waite' as he is formally know to me and of course Artem - who demonstrated again that he has a very natural stage presence and sense of humour.
We did wonder when Lisa said she had a Strictly related event later in the year whether this might relate to 'It Takes Two' ?
Favourite dances ? hard one, really like the tango-y Adele mash-up and 'Jar of Hearts' ones, and from 'Russia with Love', 'River Deep Mountain High' and and another Ian & Natalie one that I can't remember the song to !
Oh and final thought, Lisa really can't recite Shakespeare well bless her.

Hope you are all enjoying the beautiful sunshine and managing to stay cool and relaxed...............how long to the next series of Strictly ???.......

Nina!!!!!!!!!! Yes, well, that is a hefty Book of Pathetic Excuses you've got there!

Loverrrly to hear from you and glad you enjoyed the show.
Spoiler
I enjoyed the Adele mashup too. Well, I enjoyed most of the actual dancing. What did you think of Natalie? Ian? Artem? I'm not going to include Lisa!

I hope you come back on here once the new SCD is up and running...........or even before!

Coming back to reality after a lovely trip to Edinburgh to see SC. I was sorry the show wasn't coming to Newcastle but Edinburgh is a lovely place to visit and the huge bonus was kilted Artem! I thoroughly enjoyed the show and I know those of you seeing it in Aberdeen and Glasgow will have a wonderful time. Lisa was a confident and enthusiastic link person throughout the show and went down well with the audience. The young musicians and dancers did an excellent job but the stars were Artem, Natalie and Ian. I don't want to give too much away but Artem loves his kilt, there was a fantastic jiving performance and plenty of kilt wafting. We all loved it.. Natalie worked so hard dancing sometimes with Artem as well as Ian.. She is a wonder and sharing a table in the bar with someone who had been to a fitness training session with her and Ian earlier that day I learned they had done 9 hours before the show. When Artem is on stage it is hard to take your eyes off him and he's obviously very happy with this tour. I wish I could see it all again. It was lovely to look around and see all the smiling faces and happy people after the show.
