I'm just dashing through because this is probably the best place to say hello to fridgesoup and to commiserate with her for feeling poorly. ((Hugs)) to you, my soupy friend.

To cheer you up, did you catch KevinFromGrimsby's marvellous impression of Artem in yesterday's ITT? What I love is that he did the whole impression with one trouser-leg rolled up to the knee, your bête noire...

Perhaps we should ask KevinFromGrimsby what the significance is?

KevinFromGrimsby does Artem”

Peevster ! If you catch this, thanks for dropping by. I loved KevinFromGrimsby's Arty impression, and liking Kevin very much (the glasses are geek chic cool as anything). I'm betting he has a decent Brendan impression as well. Not knowing anything about Grimsby (other than the fact that on a map you go pretty much in a straightline leftwards from me for some way until you hit the coast) I'm also betting he's a Yorkshire Tea man as well, as in big mug, splash of milk, strong.

But then I reckon Artem's a strong tea man as well (Russian, strong, not at all stereotyping ).

Anyway enough blathering about tea.

Pauvre Julian, a thorn between two Roses.
French class boring today. No Russian speakers turned up so a very, very bad French teacher and me a very, very bad learner. I couldn't understand her and she couldn't understand me . So we jacked it in after an hour.
Good news is that we have found a conversation class that comes highly recommended. French have two weeks holiday from Friday, so all goes on hold.

I see that Kara's film received a short, but positive review in today's Guardian - three stars. Quite generous by their standards.

Let's hope Artem becomes a little more animated on the ITT sofa. I'm warming to Kevin and Aljaz due to their ITT appearances.

Aw, that's nice of her.

So, if the rehearsal pics are in the order of dancing then Susanna has the pimp spot with a Samba. Hopefully it's a good'un. Looked ok in training as far as I remember.

In which Mark wears a giant quality street wrapper (the gold toffee one), Robin wears a frightwig, Julian wears something that never quite got finished, Rachel wears Bet Lynch's old pyjamas and Natalie comes dressed as Shirley Bassey on a waitressing stint.

Wardrobe have truly surpassed themselves.

Do you think Quality Street was this year's 'inspirational theme'?

He's just lovely in every way, but I thought Julien danced much more salsa than Ben - felt they were a bit generous to Ben in comparison. Kristina had a lovely time, didn't she?

Yes indeedy!

8 was a ridiculous score for Ben but Kristina deserved that score Those lifts were great and requires a lot of strength and trust.

Yet again Len penalises Artem for his choreography
Natalie was brilliant, what bad back and as ever Artem excelled with his stylish choreography. Not sure I liked the monochrome outfits.

I also really enjoyed Sophie and Abbey's dance, very stylish.

Poor Fiona, she is beginning to believe she is better than she is, Anton's rumba choreo was weak but I hope she doesn't go tonight.

I thought Len had a point about there not being enough in hold while at the same time thinking Artem made the right decision to choreograph as he did.

Felt Anton let Fiona down tonight. I think she is - or could be - a good dancer and he's not doing enough for her or with her. I reckon that he was embarrassed to dance it himself and put too much focus on her. The choreo was pants.

Am nodding in agreement here Anam with all your points but especially Fiona and Anton. She's not as good as she thinks and the choreography was just cringeworthy.

If she's in the bottom two tonight, even if against Julien, I think she could be in trouble. That was a dire dance for her tonight. I thought her hair looked gorgeous though!

Anton's actually been quite lucky to have the "comic" partners he's had as they have all hidden the fact that he's absolutely hopeless at choreographing latin dances. That was an awful rumba tonight and it was primarily because the choreography didn't suit Fiona. If they go this week it's all on Anton imho.

Natalie's quickstep and Abby's tango were both well danced but I have to say that both Mark and Dave made me lol again tonight and Julian's trying so hard, bless him. I'd rather lose Fiona or Rachel this week if I'm honest.
