The Specsavers Crime Thriller Awards are on ITV3 this evening at 9pm. This is the event at which Kara was photographed earlier in the week wearing a lovely red dress. Perhaps she is presenting one of the awards.

On the ferry journey home I popped into the gift store to find it had been decorated with a Hollowe'en theme (incidentally by my daughter's best friend who works there ) Pride of place was taken by a dancing, fluorescent skeleton.....wait for it.....dancing to Kara and Artem's Salsa music The hips transported me....they had to be modelled on Mr C himself

(Apparently it is from Tesco!! *had to ask)

Here's hoping all my chums are alright and I wish you all the best : not too much debris, roofs still on houses, no encounter with fallen trees etc... The storm is blowing fiercely here as well, but compared to what I've been hearing on the news about what is happening over there we have no reason to complain.

Hope everyone is well! Hold on tight!

All well on my bit of the south coast I'm pleased to report, but I'm glad that I'm not needing to go anywhere urgently as there are no trains. The noise last night was something else.

I think you're getting the brunt of it now BV! Keep safe. xx
I managed to sleep through the whole thing. Just one broken greenhouse pane and an awful lot of leaves on the ground. We got off lightly.

Watched the Specsavers Crime Thriller Awards last night. Kara did present an award and looked lovely as ever in her red dress. The presenter (forget his name) when introducing Kara had to mention that her boyfriend dances with pretty women and that Kara would be looking for ideas to use a dagger Hope everyone is safe after the storm.

I scratched my head too wren, but on second thunk, I wonder if OS is alluding to the high winds oop there and Orcadians ability to ignore them.

I was in WHSmith earlier this evening and spotted Artem's white teeth on the cover of the TV Times (2-8 Nov). In addition to the ultra-white teeth, Artem's wearing a red sparkly shirt that does not cover his chest very well . The caption is 'Strictly Sizzling'. Oh, Pasha and Aljaz are on the cover as well but they are almost hidden by Artem's upper body.

The article is called 'Dancing Dreamboats' - heart-throbs Pasha, Artem and Aljaz reveal all about their Strictly experience - just don't mention rhinestones or … socks!

Here are a few tidbits from Artem's 'interview':
Question - It's Halloween week. Do you have a ball working on this one?
Answer - I absolutely love it -it's the best week on Strictly! To me, it's better than the final because you have to come up with a concept, and if that's strong enough, you can make simple choreography look amazing.

Question - What else do you enjoy about being on the show?
Answer - Outfits, definitely. Just kidding! I enjoy teaching. Making someone more of a dancer than they actually are is a lovely thing to do, and it makes you proud. Strictly has changed my life completely because I'm doing what I love and it's being appreciated by millions of people.

Question - What do you really think of the costumes, then?
Answer - I hate rhinestones, I've never liked them!

Question - What's your teaching style?
Answer - Over the years you learn how to do this job. Growing up in Russia, it's very strict teaching in general so that's how I taught the first year - unfortunately for my girlfriend Kara! But I've since learned people respond to things differently according to their personality, so you need to adapt.

Question - How do you feel about being partnered with Natalie?
Answer - I describe myself as having the winning lottery ticket. We get on really well. The main thing for me is someone's work ethic, and Natalie's is better than mine - she puts me to shame!

Question - Of the current professionals, you, Ola Jordan and Brendan Cole have won the glitter ball trophy before. Could you make history as the first pro to lift it twice?
Answer - To be honest, it's never been about the glitter ball. It's about delivering a performance that people will love each week, and if we can make them like us through dancing, that's more than I can ask for.

Well, that is actually the full interview with Artem.

I was so overcome with the sparkling teeth on the cover that I managed to leave my credit card in the machine (probably) and only discovered this 4 hours later. I've cancelled the card. I blame Artem .

P.S. Disclaimer - not sure Artem really said these things. Supposedly Sarah Selwood interviewed the three 'dreamboats' at Elstree. Is it possible that Artem really does like the Halloween show ?

Well, make sure you write a song or do a dance along with it ...... you could incorporate some double bounce window cleaning ..... and, of course, upload it to YT

Would you mind bringing over some tidbits of Pasha's interview too? I had hoped someone would have by now but no luck.

Pasha's interview contains his typical mistakes, so think it's a pretty close version to what they said. (How sad is it that I notice this? )
