Well there is nothing like a live show.
Thanks to your reports it was helpful to know a bit about what was and probably wasn't scripted. As late one said, when Lisa announced it was the final show of the tour and the others introduced themselves there was a touch of emotion. Artem particularly, when he spoke Kara and of falling in love. Big Ahhhh.

When I bought my ticket (last minute as usual) there were only restricted views left in the dress circle. But I was really lucky and had a full view of the stage, though not so near as Lateone who was in the stalls.

After the show we headed for the stage door and manged to get in the first half dozen in a queue of about 50. Craig was the first to come out and had a quick smile and wave to everyone while he had a fag. He is so much slimmer than when I saw him on the tour dancing with Ann, and looked much younger. He was very charming and relaxed.
Then we had a L O N G wait. Unfortunately lateone couldn't stay any longer
Eventually, Ian came and worked his way down the queue and said not to worry everyone was coming out.
So we w a i t e d again, and Lisa came out, very chatty and open with everyone.
Eventually and I do mean eventually Artem appeared, somehow I had made my way near the head of the queue but was conscious of how long everyone had waited (and there were a lot of everyones) so we had a brief chat and hug and I didn't even think of the rolled up trouser question. So, we will have to save that for another time!
All I can say is , it was worth the wait he is an outstanding dancer. But I think you all knew that

Thanks to everyone for their reports I don't intend to miss the next get together
Thanks ML. Well worth the wait...like all good things

Lovely, thanks, Wliag. Went to see Midnight Tango last night and was blown away. Would love to have seen Artem playing/ dancing the rival for Flavia's affections in the show. But then I doubt whether Flavia would have settled for Vincent!

I would love to see Artem in a show with some kind of a story. Secret agent James Bond style?

Hi lateone It's a great show. Yes, it would be great to see Artem in another show next year. Maybe we will if he gets a dance partner who he can do shows with outside of SCD.

Just been talking to my neighbour whose son got married last Saturday in Sheffield and they saw the Strictly Confidential dancers in a hotel opposite the Crucible theatre. What a start to the day?

Hi Wrenny,
Thanks for posting all of Richard's pictures. I'm not a tweeter so don't have access to these.

Has Richard also been posting pics of Lisa, Ian and Natalie or does he just know how popular Artem is?

Hi Crazy, yes he's posted pics of some of the other dancers but I do feel he's concentrated on Artem a bit (though that might just be me blanking some of the other photos)

Major Lurker Thanks for the report. I'm glad your wait afterwards was well worth it.

Hi Wrenny I did start to reply to you this morning. Wrote a load of text then laptop went crazy and I lost everything grrrrrrr.

So here goes - a very shortened version.
Natalie did a lovely job as the lead professional female, Lisa did well at what Lisa does and Ian splendid but not in the same league as Artem who gives his all in every dance. Not so keen on the 4 supporting dancers who weren't always together with their timing, But it just goes to show how proficient the Strictly professionals are to seem flawless in every dance.
As it was the last show the pros were well practised in delivering their "confidential" stories but still I thought they were out of their comfort zone so good on them for giving it a go.
I really liked Craig and would like to see more of him dancing ( I don't think flinging Ann around on the Strictly tour was his finest hour, though it was hilarious). A friend told me yesterday that Craig is no stranger to Leeds Grand theatre as he has done the choreography in several Opera North productions. So I'll keep a look out for him being around next season.
The two male singers, who also played guitar and trumpet, had lovely harmonies. Musicians were a talented bunch and had an appreciative audience. It was a good night.

Aw! I'm sorry you lost your post this morning ML. Many thanks for doing it again. I couldn't get over how good Natalie was in the show. She seemed to be on the stage so much. Her costume changes must have been manic! Both she and Artem put so much into their dancing. Amazing to watch.

Thanks again for posting again! xx
