Hopefully by autumn we will have a proper tele out of our large open plan area, so I can snuggle up on the sofa and watch without OH being a martyr.
Beautiful day here , finally weather seems to be warm for a little bit. Off out in the garden with OH and our new lawnmower to cut a path through our long grass. It is brand new so he is mowing. Give it a week or two and the novelty will have worn off.

The boys have been doing manly stuff on their trip, like making fire and catching fish. Chef Artem gutting and filleting (or 'fill-ay-ing' ) dinner. Maks eats.


I don't know if Artem and James met up or not, but I can't think Artem would have had the time to go to LV (while James was still there).

Indeed! The Chmerkovsky brothers are in New York it seems, wel,l one has tweeted that he is, and in Connecticut this weekend, so they must be back.

Anyone know when we hear about Strictly pros? Before or after DWTS autumn season announcement?

I think they usually find out around June time. DwtS doesn't confirm pros until they've got all their celebs signed on the dotted line, which sometimes means the pros are in (or out) right at the last minute in late August/early Sept. On the other hand, Emma Slater was announced as a SCD pro last year (quite early, I think) and then quietly disappeared from the BBC site, so she must have been offered DwtS long before Aug/Sep, so I guess there are no hard and fast rules. I do hope he decides to come back - because I can't imagine they won't offer him a contract....

I wonder if they'll stick with 15 celebs. It seemed like they stacked the deck to have a woman win. Will they go back to 14??? (and need to lose a male pro. I know who I would choose ).

Ach, who knows? I'd forgotten they had 8 females last season. I thought if they 'lost 'one male pro they would be replaced. And I read somewhere that Shem Jacobs had an 'exciting' meeting recently.

Hi. I don't know either, but the pictures of them in the press after the end of Strictly saw them arm in arm, laughing and looking happy. Praps they're still together .... or not, but still on great terms with each other. Either way - regarding the BIB - they don't strike me as being sad in any way . Que sera, sera!

Hear Hear Fridgy. They may have just become very skilled at keeping stum with the press and public or they are getting on with their lives seperately, whichever is true, they both seem happy and successful.
Methinks it is us, not them who will struggle to let go of the romance that they shared with us on their wonderful strictly journey. Nothing will remove my memories of so many of their dances, nor the friendships I made through this thread.
I have sublimated my investment into my adore/deteste relationship with our deer. We have put tree guards round the trees, and OH has mown a beautiful curving path round the garden. The deer love it as it allows them hidden but easy access to my veg plot and that of my neighbour. One of the females has three fawns, they all like, lettuce and strawberries.


Ps I am more nervous that Artem might decide to jump ship to DWTS, that would have me

Thank you for all your honest replies regarding Kara and Artems relationship. I suppose time will tell. The biggest clue will be if he dosnt come back to SCD this year ! Seriously hope that is not the case ! He will be missed !
