Spoiler

Back in France after 10 days in England with family, lovely walking and swimming on Gower as well as usual allotment duties with my mother.
Got home to a year's supply of overgrown gherkins and courgettes. OH said he couldn't see any. His punishment is stuffed marrow for a month
*racks brain for nice marrow recipes*

Nope. Nothing.

Lots of Artem action in this segment of the results show. Blimey! (The sound is very tinny - might just be my laptop)

(So much screaming and yelping from the audience. Aargh!)
Thanks again soupy. lovely to see him dancing as a pro. Quite like the cut of Keo's jib, however pesky Artem kept taking my attention so hard to judge his dancing
ps have delivered (round ) courgettes to various local doorsteps and ran away before they could be refused.

Maybe it's the video quality or it could be my screen, but do any of the male pro's have nipples

From the clips I watched, there seem to be inflated scores in DWTS compared to SCD. I'm sure we don't have so many 8's and 9's in week 1. In fact, I don't think we ever have 9's in week 1, do we? It was all a bit loud and American for me (I'm American so I can say that). The pro dance seemed a bit 'raunchier' than we get here; it didn't seem to be a proper latin or ballroom dance.

Haha,

That interviewer SO fancied Artem!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm pleased that they've got the Jive next week. Lea may struggle with the energy involved so good to get it over whilst weaker dancers are still in. Having also got the boring Foxtrot over with, I think that's a pretty good dance draw so far.

Gosh, I'd forgotten how ......... gushier...... Americans are than Brits! (Why isn't there an 'eep' emoticon when you want one?)

Thought Foxtrot was sweet but didn't like Artem's suit.

Was underwhelmed by New Pro intro dance.

DwtS doesn't have anything like ITT but Afterbuzz is a weekly internet show where they discuss this week's episodes. It's pretty long and rambling but they were complimentary about Artem, so worth watching a few minutes (from about 12.00) to hear what they have to say.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9u8H7l37uc.

(Anna, the redhead, was a pro on the show for a long time and knows Artem from way back. Serge is a ballroom and latin dancer who you might recognise from pics with Artem teaching at the Dance With Me studios)

It seems earlier than usual, but the SCD Live Tour web site says that tickets for the 2015 Tour will be on sale starting at 10am on Monday Sept 29th.

If anyone wants to watch the clips on abc.go.com, the easiest way is to download the Hola extension for Google Chrome. You simply click the flame icon, enter the site url in the extension (here's a screencap if you're unsure) and it'll trick the site into thinking you're from the US. You can't watch live episodes, as you need to sign in with your ISP information for that, but you can watch everything else.
Thanks Suzie . I tried this and (after an initial hiccup) was able to watch clips on the ABC site which is great, but I wasn't able to watch whole episodes. I needed to confirm my service provider or something (although it said you could watch without signing in a week after broadcast). Do you know of a way round that?

Lea and Artem's jive. She did really well! (Overscored, but that's how they like to do it on DwtS ). Everyone is so very excitable. I wonder what they ply them with before the show

Sorry, I haven't been on here for a few days.

I'm not sure if there is a way to watch whole episodes until a week has passed (last week's show is available to watch now, the results show I imagine will be available tomorrow) It seems like you have to log into an American ISP's site (their equivalent of BT or Virgin) and that's just not possible for us, not unless someone is willing to share that information online - which I highly doubt if they've got any sense!

I just had a look and pfffff....... especially the judges must be on something extremely strong. Might I call this Over The Top? Even very. Quite tiring indeed. Definitely showing my age here.

The jive was quite good/ I'm looking forward to seeing her do the waltzes.

Artem looks so much happier than he did in SCD last year, I'm not keen on the botox though

Looks like I've missed out on the obvious. Err . Never noticed he was unhappy last Scd. Kara said on tv and in interviews he was like "the cat who got the cream "and that was certainly what I picked up . He got the celeb he wanted allegedly the " best celeb dancer ever " and was able to,choreograph marvellous routines and had the judges on their feet in appreciation of his show dance . . Actually apart from a few uncomfortable moments on the ITT couch with Holly I've never seen him show unhappy..

As for the Botox. ??
Agree with Belgium vote the show is overhyped and only watch to see him . It appears to be huge stateside .the amount of coverage is staggering .. Wonder what he really thinks ; of it all

Not sure about happier than he was last year on SCD.

I never comment on private lives but am I really the only one who feels sad that since the photos of Kara with mysterious man went public artem doesn't seem to be able to not be hanging off his new partner. Forced happiness seems more like it to me. I've got to be honest and say I have always been more of a fan of Kara than Artem. I really hope he's ok though.

pffff sums it up perfectly... and it's all scripted down to the last twitch. All that glisters definitely is not gold.

I thought he looked tense and quite morose throughout the last series of SCD.
