Boy! I tried to catch up last week but just couldn’t find the time to watch properly and share me thoughts.

I’m watching the show now not knowing who went, so here goes -

Tom and Iveta - not getting the love. He’s like a nice but vacuous Hollywood stud. Stiff and lacking musicality. Clunky IMO.

Jennifer and Tristan - shoulders up! Better than last week and thankfully we didn’t have to see Tristan dancing a-la-Mark-LOOK-AT-ME-LOOK-AT-ME-Ballas.

Simon and Kristina - Horrible music. Not horrible dancing but just ploddy.

Greg and Aliona - oh dear...that’s all...oh dear. Just to add, I’m not liking Aliona’s attitude.

Alison and Aliaz - loving Alijaz. I’m really liking Alison, she’s taking it seriously and not doing the whole chuckle-butty act. Bit flat-footed but she seems to have to wear flat shoes.

Jake and Janette - Brill, loved it. Janet is so blimin’ supple and strong. Thought Jake was a one-note menace after last week although he did strike one line that I thought was lovely and very promising. So surprising, I’m a fan.

Judy and Anton - major faffing abaat. Horrible. Sorry Judy, just horrible.

Caroline and Pasta - really like this pairing. Not wowed but it could have just been the music. I think Caroline is really a natural at this and I’m very comfortable watching her.

Tim and Natalie - sedated...er, I mean sedate.

Sunetra and Brendon - made me smile. Bit flat-footed but I love her obvious enjoyment.

Mark and Karen - he’s so much nicer than I thought he’d be. Not sure about this dance but he’s trying hard and just needs to loosen up and find some grace.

Scott and Jo - oh dear...

Pixie and Trent - very nice, very pretty.

Steve and Ola - so tired of Ola, I can’t tell you. Steve, having a go but he hasn’t really got it, has he. Bless him.

Frankie and Kevin - why a 50s Charleston, just why? They did good and I like Frankie...but why?

Loving Claude. No Bruce bliss.

Phew, I feel I can show my face around here now.

Too much for me. I couldn't actually watch a few of the dances last week. That's why I just really started my Strictly 'journey' :sleep: this week.


Hmm interesting about Jake but you know I don't care. He's not a dancer every day of the week and so it matters nought to me. He's far from being a Pro and I just like watching someone dance well.

Looks like Kara is at The Pride of Britain Awards-

'Mr Selfridge star Jeremy Piven presented the Outstanding Bravery award to Andrew Bilton with Brian and Joanne Keane.

The courageous trio risked their lives to save two men trapped inside a burning wreckage after they were involved in a high speed crash.

Hollywood actor Piven said: "I am exceptionally humbled to be invited to present this award.

Lea and Artem survived last weeks vote. Phew! They danced a contemporary routine in a tribute to her late father (in personal story/most memorable year of my life week). This is the dance. Not found an extended VT yet - will look for one later. A great score and a few trademark Art-isms in there

Lea's ballet background showcased beautifully here. A lovely performance!

I miss him on Strictly but even he would struggle to look good in the AWFUL male costumes this season!

She looked to be wearing the same black lace dress Tess Daley wore at the weekend. Lovely as ever.Some similarity between Kara and Lea in hair and colouring?

Thankyou for posting both versions, fridgy. they were both so beautiful and for the first time I saw the point of watching DWTS. I am so glad that Artem got a partner who is so sympa ( means nice but sounds better) and talented.
i love it when Artem dances bare foot and I thought Leas memories of her dad were very touching

On the subject of Strictly I also found the mens costumes very uninspiring. I think there was a lot of brown and beige.
Off out again tonight for Breton dancing. Have been watching U tube to remind myself of the steps.

lateone, as soon as I saw Lea she reminded me of Kara. Watching the link Soupy posted (cheers Soupy) I am even more convinced- not only in terms of hair and colouring but in movement. Artem must be in his element. As highlighted above, there are lots of signature Artem moves in this routine. I couldn't bear to watch the judge's comments and Artem's reaction. I can only imagine!

Well it's a mixed bag this season - I didn't like Jake's salsa, especially the bit at the beginning when he was on his own wiggling, I'm sorry. It was just wrong - and I can't pinpoint why...can anyone help please?
I detested Anton's choreography and his execution of the cha cha was worse than many celebrities IMHO, sorry again. A few other lowlights - Scott & Joanne's faces (really?), Greg & Aliona - where to start. No real highlights for me yet though I still have a soft spot for Thom (from his rugby days and I do feel a bit of responsibility for his injury as it happened at the Millenium Stadium when I was cheering Wales on loudly ) plus Alison always been a fave since her early career on W. Midlands TV. Pleased she has Aljaz and he's not going down the camp choreo route Bobby did with Lisa...someone said he's dancing full pelt for her - have to agree and it's amazing. Finding his hair rather distracting this year.....

DWTS ... On the after buzz comments on the latest dance by Artem and Leah it was mentioned that not only has Leah dance training she can also act the part .Artems been lucky with four out of five dance celebs.being actresses Kara , Holly ,Natalie .and now Leah .
All able to interpret the mood as well as the choreography The critics have taken to him and she has performed well .
Seems like quite a few on DWTS have dance backgrounds. Not a problem there
Leah is loving the dream ...I meant living ! but I think both ,wonder how she will do in the switch up .

Was it the facial expression that went with the wiggling that did it ?????? It did just veer a bit Les Dawson I only ask as I found that slightly disconcerting but totally loved the rest of Jake's Salsa. Like Nooney I am well surprised.

Agree with much of everything else, though still just warming to Alison (maybe because I don't know her from anything) , and again like Nooney slightly warming to PIxie.

Liking Caroline as 'praps my favourite so far - but then I do love a nicely done Tango.
