A better theory than 'jellus' (of Lynne? Of Mary? Yeah, right.)
1. THE NOMINATIONS. BB3, BB6, BB8, BB9, BB12, BB13 and BB14 had no nominations for the first eviction. (BB7 didn't either, but you could argue that choosing people for the Brotherhood was a kind of weighted nomination process). So in the series that did have early nominations, females have been more than twice as likely to be nominated as males.
2. In the first few days of BB the men do much less in the way of personal talking. Fuelled by drink, the women are already splurging their entire life history and personal opinions. They also do far more mutual grooming behaviour (doing each others hair, lending clothes etc) which means that they make decisions about each other much earlier on. Men may end up really loathing each other, but this takes longer to surface. They keep more of a distance in the early stages, and any potential problems take longer to develop.
3. Now, THE PUBLIC VOTE. It's all to do with putting people into an adverse stereotype. Both sexes are heavily penalised for being bitchy or bullying, but these are not first-week traits. No one comes into the house and starts looking for weak people to bully as soon as they have a wineglass in their hand. Conor was a cooing dove during the time he was up for eviction.
But as well as being heavily penalised for being bitchy and bullying, women (and only women) are heavily penalised just for being 'mouthy' or arrogant. That just doesn't seem to apply to the men. No one demanded that Brian Belo was out in the first eviction because all you could hear that week was his big, booming voice. Federico was a gigantic walking ego and got away with it, as did Mario. But it seems that no one will tolerate a woman who gabs away too much, however sweetly (Anouska) or who seems to look down on someone (Steph, Victoria). Since out of Bonnie and Glyn, we had the choice between two quivering little voles, people went for the one with the mouthy, arrogant VT.
Moral is: women should do a Sophie and make sure they don't talk much for the first week. After that they can start to watch the men self-destruct.
Note: These are AVERAGE behaviours. I would not dream of suggesting that they apply to every housemate.

No sprouts for YOU tonight.
I assume not but everyone seems so sure that the female viewing public vote women out and I'm not convinced.
