I think my biggest worry is the potential for how bad Ste could look coming out of this. It's beyond silly for Doug to still have these feelings, but I could see them having him upset Ste's going to get himself killed, Ste not caring, then Doug being willing to quit the deli or something so Ste can have it back so he won't have to keep drug dealing, and the motivation and reasoning for Ste dealing isn't as great as it was before now. So basically more St. Doug and Ste looking like shit without a leg to stand on.

They had the opportunity for a much better storyline for Ste than this, I really do want to wring BK's neck right now. So little thought is going into any of the storylines, they're mishandling everything and making bad story decisions with no thought to the long-term.

And I've lost a lot of love for Trevor now . I could still appreciate him shirtless before Ste kills him though.

Unfortunately I think Ste is gonna look bad no matter what happens. Seeing haters being pressed is only gonna make me happy, but I'm not looking forward to actually seeing people throwing abuse at Ste

Anyway, my guess is: Doug tries it on with Ste/confesses him his feelings/whatever, Ste rejects him (maybe in a rude way) and that's what convinces Doug to leave the village because he literally has no more reasons to stay.
I don't think any of this will have to do with Ste dealing/getting beaten up. And Doug is certainly not gonna sacrifice the deli/himself for Ste
