I wanted Ste to kill someone. Not how I saw it, but in a sick and twisted way, I love this

I love this. And so good how they've tied Tony into it. Kill it, Kieron.

Ash gets the weirdest stories doesn't she? She never seems to get any of her own.
She had one week in Brendan's story.....then nothing. Got involved in that Will stuff over the summer.....then disappeared. Got the Ally plot once Amy left.....then disappeared. Now she's popping up in this Anna story. |

Woah at the Ste spoilers, just as I was considering not tuning in for a while too. Think I'll stick around for a bit longer

And Doug too, Hanni. We need Doug out of the damn way. Is this more proof he's leaving
? Even JP's moved on.None of the other stories grab me though, not even Sinead's, but I expect Ste to have something to do with hers at least. And Sarah, are you doing your research thing on Danny Lomax? |

And Sarah, are you doing your research thing on Danny Lomax? The fact that they've ended McCarter so abruptly despite the fact that James S has been talking about this big bullying plot since he came back makes me think that McCarter was originally meant to be a much bigger story (and get much more screentime) but then they (possibly) changed their plans because PJ wanted to leave. I refuse to believe that this mess has been planned since day 1 ![]() ETA: I re-read the post and it looks a bit confusing What I meant is that they moved up the bullying plot to the summer (instead of the end of the year) and we were supposed to get more McCarter but we didn't because they decided to scrap it at the last minute (possibly) because of PJ.

Oooh, good point, you might be right about the having to change plans around PJ deciding to leave.
JP doesn't even have a job at the school anymore though .

So I can see people aren't happy with Ste's breakdown being over Pauline and not Brendan. To be fair, he's being asked to kill someone. It's a pretty big deal, regardless of who's involved.
Oh Kieron, cry those golden tears. PLEASE! |

"Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard has shaved his head and had his body hair waxed in preparation for his upcoming storyline which sees his character Tony Hutchinson undergo chemotherapy treatment for cancer."

Oh Kieron, cry those golden tears. PLEASE! You know, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be in this situation if Brendan/the kids were still around ![]() NONE OF THIS SHIT WOULD BE FLYING IF BRENDO WASN'T BEHIND BARS

Who's saying that the breakdown will only be about Pauline? Couldn't he be having a breakdown over all the shit that has happened in his life recently?
You know, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be in this situation if Brendan/the kids were still around ![]() NONE OF THIS SHIT WOULD BE FLYING IF BRENDO WASN'T BEHIND BARS ![]() Plus, this is finally a story that is about Ste. It is something that's not dictated by another main character or Brendan. As much as I love him, it's a now change. |

Oh my God, I've just remembered the kidnapping thing
![]() Does that mean that Ste is gonna "kidnap" Pauline from the hospital to... let her die away from the machines? AND TONY IS THERE ![]() ![]()

The only problem I see now is that they have all these dramatic stories coming up at the same time. It's all high tension stuff, we have Ste possibly helping his mum die, Tony with cancer, Sienna being sinister, Sinead possibly prostituting herself, Patrick/Anna/Maxine madness, whatever they plan to do with Browning and his Lyndsey visions etc. I just hope they balance it out well with a little normality.

No, but you know what I mean.
Plus, this is finally a story that is about Ste. It is something that's not dictated by another main character or Brendan. As much as I love him, it's a now change. We already know why Ste is going through such a downward spiral and it's good to know it's Brendan related, but they need to keep it going and they can't make everything about Brendan just like they couldn't make everything in Brendan's arc about Ste. Either way I'm pleased for Kieron.

Glad that Ste does have some gritty storylines.
![]() It would have been all the shorter if Brendo was around, he knows how to hug somebody to death! As for Doug/PJ, shall not be too fussed if he leaves, together with that damn whiney voice of his. Can understand though that he may still be in love with Ste, he did only let him go as he saw no future with him so long as Ste's beloved Brendan was merely a plane journey away. Brendan in prison, and with no future, he may think it plausible that he could make a go of it with Ste ..... one problem though, Ste will NEVER forget Brendan and will always compare any other partner with him. So he's got no chance!!

So this is what Kieron meant when he talked about Ste having a breakdown.

I do wonder what the next part is though, where the effect of having killed Pauline will leave him and how dark the downward spiral gets. He'll still need to deal to support himself this whole time, but do they just keep him peddling drugs after? Do they introduce other new characters for him or ones related to his past after Pauline? It's interesting and I have so much hope again. I'll die if I'm disappointed.
