X Factor USA RUMOURED Format Changes
@AMYCHICK94 Quote:
Just hearing that the bootcamp stage of @TheXFactorUSA is to be overhauled and a new format is to be introduced! Im Excited!
Quote:
It has been reported that Demi Lovato has asked Kenny Ortega to be one of her Expert helpers at Bootcamp #xfactorbootcampREVAMP
Quote:
One of the changes being considered for the live shows is that each judge will get a contestant from each category to mentor! #xfactorREVAMP
Quote:
@TheXFactorUSA will have 4 key workshops - Vocals, Song Writing/production, Choreography, Performance. Each judge will have experts 2 help!
Quote:
@TheXFactorUSA judges will be giving a group of the contestants to mentor at bootcamp. And each judge will have a team of experts 2 help!
Quote:
Also the winners single on X Factor USA will be produced by a team selected by the judge, and the song will be an "ORIGINAL" #xfactorREVAMP
Quote:
Kelly Rowland has been rumoured to be asking hitmaker The Dream to be one of her Expert Helpers at X Factor Bootcamp
Quote:
At judges houses their will be 2 helpers one will be a celebrity judge the other will be a Sony manager from Epic, Syco, RCA, Columbia
Quote:
The final change at X Factor judges houses is that the each duo will have 2 sing the same song as a duet and be judged on that!
Quote:
@thisisagooduser The Category decision is not final. The are considering giving each judge a boy, a girl, an over and a group #xfactorREVAMP
Quote:
The team of experts on X Factor Bootcamp will include - A vocal coach, a choreography and a songwriter/producer
Quote:
Once the workshops have been completed each mentor must select 16 acts 2 move on 2 perform infront of a bootcamp audience. #xfactorREVAMP
Quote:
At the beginning of the workshops the judges will be given 26 acts each, 10 will be cut before the final performance
Quote:
As a team the 4 judges will select the best 2 boys, girls, groups and overs from each of the top 16 groups #xfactorREVAMP
Quote:
The producers will then select which 8 contestants who will go with each judge to judges houses
Quote:
Each judges will have 2 girls 2 boys 2 groups and 2 overs with them at judges houses! They have to select one of each to progress!
Could be interesting if true! ![]() |

Hell yes. If it was one group, one over, one girl, one boy - that would make things SO interesting
Especially considering the fact that across the years, one category usually dominates the others, but 1 has to leave anyway at judge's houses/live shows. Like what happened with Diamond last year or the girls the year before with Simon.

Also, those changes in the original post seem really complicated. Oh and BTW, according to spoilers girls are dominating so far. So maybe there won't be boys/girls categories but teens, young adults, overs like last year. |

So basically, The Voice and American Idol put together with some stuff from other singing shows in the past? How original...

How would that work? Due to time zones, they can't just re-open the phone lines during the result show and ask people to vote and then announce the results at the end of the show.

Probably the same way kids award shows have a winner by text decision. If you aren't on the East Coast or not watching live online illegally, your vote doesn't count.
To be honest, judges voting on who goes home from the bottom 2 seems like an important feature. It gives TPTB a chance to keep their preferred acts, I just don't see the logic why they would let the people vote. |

So viewers from the West coast should have no say in the results. How fair to them and contestants from that part of the country!

The format will change but according to Simon nobody knows how it will be yet. Not even the judges. |

It's so obvious by how anytime someone asked if a certain act auditioned, she claimed they were in a different session. Of course they were!
![]() Theres a lot of those on twitter now. Theyve moved from first being on forums, to myspace,to facebook, to now be on twitter tweeting every 5 min. |
