I have a Samsung 10.1 tab 2 and it's fairly quick at most things, certainly no lag when playing HD videos etc.
The screen doesnt seem as responsive or acurate touch wise as my Iphone or my parents Ipad mini but it does have a screen protector on it (for my 5 year old) so that my be why. The only lag I get is with certain flash content online, e.g. flash games but thats not bad considering mobile flash is not officially supported anymore. All in all it's not a bad device for the price, certainly not as good as an Ipad (in my opinion) but at nearlly half the price you cant complain, flash storage slot is a bonus as well. |

So people would recommend a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1?. How well does it play You Tube videos and view storage cards, flash memory sticks and USB HDD?

I personally would only recommend a Galaxy tab 2 if you only wanted to spend £200 on a 10" tablet, I would prefer an Ipad as it would compliment my Iphone and Macbook but that is only my opinion and well over £100 more expensive (and to some more restrictive). I bought my Galaxy Tab as a gift for a 5 year old last christmas and with the cashback offer it only cost £180 so a no brainer. |

Ok the Galaxy Tab on Amazon costs £220 or £252 with extras and would compliment my Samsung phone. The nexus costs over £310.
Can I insert a SD Card, USB Flash drive or a USB HDD Drive to my tab and it can play videos and music |

Or you can use this much cheaper on the go cable http://www.amazon.co.uk/Adapter-comp....1+usb+adapter I'm not sure that a USB HDD would work though. |

Yes you can put an SD card into the tab and you can play music and videos off of it. There is a slot for the SD card. I have a 32gb SD card in mine and it works just fine. I can view all my content.

I have had the Nexus 7 16gb tablet about 11 months now and I just love it. I got the Nexus 4 nearly a week ago now and so far im very happy with that also.

When it says 4 x Zoom on the Samsung Tab Specs does this mean that you can zoom when using camera?

@cmorris
I do suggest that you have a look at the Samsung website and the numerous video reviews on YouTube. It will answer ALL your questions and byou will be able to decide if it's right for you. Just did a quick Google search and yes there is a black version. Also the zoom works digitally and will be controlled by the touchscreen in the camera app. Please don't use your tablet to take photos as it looks silly.

To zoom you push you two fingers away to zoom in and towards you to zoom out.

My partner is looking to get the Galaxy Tab 2 10" as she has read various good reports of battery life on it, but cannot seem to find any information on how badly the battery drains when a Bluetooth keyboard is connected to it whilst online ?. I know that most Bluetooth keyboards can be recharged, but wasn't sure how badly the Tab 2 drains whilst the Bluetooth protocol is activated.
Can anyone here advise ? Thanks
