Colinp, I'm guessing thats because your phone's insured right?

Jagger, any details or you just want to say 'they're crap' and leave it at that?

I had no problems with Orange CS when i had Orange PAYG but they did take a while to answer but maybe thats because of all the Orange customers they have but I have been happy with Orange CS, Virgin CS & T-Mobile CS the only ones i haven't been happy with are Three, O2 & vodafone(although i only phoned vodafone cs once so that doesnt really count).

I've been with orange 10 or 11 years (contract) and have never had a problem. It was interesting though when I got hold of a PAYG sim and called their customer service. It cost me about £6 to get through (30 odd minutes) and then they coulodn't do what I wanted anyway...

Any time I call contracted CS, I get through within seconds. Funny the difference it makes when your paying 25p to be on hold as apposed to being on hold for free...

A tip for anyone calling orange phone 0800 10 20 30 this is there free phone number press the option that you want to join orange from another network and hey presto front of the que! Just tell the person you presses the wrong option they say no problem how can i help! Never failed me yet!

I was waiting ages on the phone to Virgin today via 789 (10p/call) and it took ages then i tried 4327 which was free and it said press 1 to speak to a customer service advisor and i have used that one before and got straight through but it never this time so whilst holding on that i dialled 0845 6000789 from my landline and had to hang up on the mobile as i got through straight away so maybe they take the calls from people who are paying more for the call first??

They have changed the charging structure now - you get charged 25p per call regardless of the length.

Extract......

"I have inside knowledge of call centres, having worked in several. It's crucial that the agents be efficient. Barraging them with 60-second calls will ruin their stats and also lower their morale. Eventually, they'll start thinking 'another damn rude American a******' every time a call comes up. All of this will have a cumulative effect. If 100 people across the US would commit to spending 10 minutes a day, we could cripple them, and bring those jobs back to the US."

People who dont want this to happen should email orange

customer.services@orange.co.uk

and make it clear you will leave if it happens........
