EE part-timer here...

Just wondered/wandered if anyone knows much about upcoming storylines. I'm tee'd off she was back 5 mins, now she's disappeared again!

I know she's back next week, but I'm hoping there's more than the Moon scenario to enjoy...?

Future spats with Ronnie? Business dealing with Danny? Winning Walford businesswoman of the year award?!!

Hopefully plenty more Michael stuff to come - and much less with Phil and Shazza lol.

It'd be good to see her and Ronnie at each other's throats...

...Charlie Brooks has more holidays than schoolchildren these days, something needs to be done about it it's not as if it's panto season

actually they weren't and its one of the most puzzling errors in santer's tenure. There wasn't really a followup to danielle's murder or should I say ronnie's grudge against janine was suddenly dropped after like 1 confrontation. View episodes of archie and janine's coupling on youtube and see ronnie's reaction to it, janine was an afterthought to ronnie by then. The only time the 2 characters were at loggerheads was when the writers were trying to shoehorn janine into s/ls or situations to justify charlie's return (ie her claim to be a partner in R&R)

It does seem to me as if this SL between Janine and Ronnie post Danielle should have bben taken further. Not sure MURDER is the right description, however.

I wouldn't really call it murder either but I agree.

Maybe not but considering archie was hell bent on hiding the secret and torturing ronnie it was quite the coincidence that his fiancee conveniently ran the girl over. Why the writers never had ronnie at least throughout such a theory (which isn't implausible) was a mystery

Was Janine already with Archie when she ran over Danielle? I thought they got together afterwards.

Ronnie had enough battles to cope with I suppose EE scripwriters thought that adding Janine was a step to far...tho obviously her 3rd baby dying and swapping it for her neighbours was deemed fine by the powers that be.

Actor’s are allowed annual leave! I’m sure since her return she has featured in more scenes than the likes of Shirley, Tyler and Jean who all seem to go weeks at a time without appearing.

It's only a few weeks and it's developing the plot.

well yes annual leave of course - but in this case it's six months off a time whenever the mood takes her - she'd had six months off and now disappeared again

People on here do make me laugh sometimes.

It wasn’t murder. Janine was cleared of all wrong-doing – I remember it being referenced in one of the episodes at a later date.

She was driving within the speed limit and Danielle stepped into the road, saw the car coming and froze. Even if Janine had braked hard, she still would’ve hit her.

I don’t think anyone blamed Janine, except Ronnie, but even she knew it wasn’t really Janine’s fault.

Hardly.

The producers allowed her 6 months off. She negotiated that and whilst we don’t know contractual details, I doubt she was on full pay during that time. She probably did ‘I’m a Celeb’ for the money to subsidise her loss of income.

Since returning she pretty much appeared in every episode over a two month period, so she probably did more hours in that time that the majority of the cast.

I always get the impression actors work flexi-time and accumulate hours which they can then take off as leave. If the storyline dictates that someone needs to disappear, then leave is given accordingly. I severely doubt this was Charlie’s decision – plus she’s back next week, so it was hardly a big break.

Plus there’s nothing to say that she hasn’t been filming upcoming scenes during the break in screen-time.

I remember Ronnie confronting Janine about Danielle's death a few episodes after and Janine asked Ronnie for forgiveness and Ronnie said never but she blamed Archie a lot more than Janine

It was Brooks' decision to take another break so she could train for a charity race.

Good to know where her priorities lie - not with Eastenders obviously.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Charlie go abroad for a charity trek or something like that? I remember quite a few of the cast wishing her good luck on Twitter about it.

She could have got a few weeks off then.

Even some normal jobs allow time off to undertake charity work, it's not exactly unheard of. Good on her. Love her and her character.

Just to make clear I'm not condeming Charlie Brooks for taking a break to do charity work. I was just clearing it up that the break was her decision and not the writers.

My comment wasn't directed at you More at how she isn't committed because she did some charity work. I know you were just explaining

I didn't think your comment was aimed at me but I just wanted to make sure no one thinks I'm criticizing the poor girl for doing charity work
