I'm in the process of using them for the second time even though the first time was disappointing in terms of delivery speed. I thought I'd give them the benefit of the the doubt and try again.

This time, the items I ordered last Sunday haven't even been dispatched yet and my only delivery option seemed to be my house, which means I'll have to schlepp down to the sorting office to collect my parcel when it comes.

What's more, only by logging into my account by chance did I discover that one item I ordered was 'undeliverable' because for some reason it had been processed separate from the other garments in my basket, and was therefore below the minimum delivery cost.

It's great that H&M is now doing online delivery but I can't help feeling their system is far more laborious than it needs to be. Has anyone else had this experience?

Hi Millie,

I'm afraid it is just what you get when you order from them online. The delivery speed is shockingly bad. They also list items as in stock, but then give you an estimated delivery date of a months time!

I DO use them lots though. I like the women's clothing and find the small sizes are actually small, unlike other shops where a 6 is an 8. I have a three year old son and love the children's wear.
If it wasn't for the low prices and the discount codes, I wouldn't bother.

1304 gets £5 off your order, and 0241 takes 25% off your highest price item. You can use them together too.

Basically, don't order anything that you need for a certain date!

Wow, thanks for the codes Kimberley! xx

Yeah I do love H&M and some of the sale prices are great, hence my reluctance to stop using the site. I really hope they sort it out. Maybe this is teething problems?

They are by far the worse online store ! Next can delivery next day but H&M can't even give you a delivery date. It will take at about 3 days, more like 5 or 6. I lost my payment slip once and tried to pay online but it doesn't allow customers to do that. Also they wouldn't take credit card payment on the phone so in the end they had to give me the H&M bank account number and sorting code, so I could go to my bank and pay the cash into their account. A billion dollar company that ca't even sort out their credit card payment.

Terribly slow. I ordered once - never again. I don't know why they take so long (nearly two weeks in my case) when other firms deliver so quickly. I've had stuff quicker from overseas

Hi guys.

Just wanted to update you on my order and tell you why I'm imploring you NEVER to use this dreadful service.

1. My order arrived today. After 2.5 weeks.

2. As I was not at home to collect the parcel- well, duh- it was left IN MY OUTSIDE BIN. In my BIN.

3. The order was wrong. A pair of trousers didn't arrive and in its place was a grey top I hadn't ordered.

4. The dress I was told was processed separately and therefore was too low in value to be delivered, DID turn up. I'd already bought it in store.

I actually cannot be bothered taking any further action unless it can be done in store. This company clearly does not know its proverbial from its elbow and the whole thing has been a slog from start to finish.

If I didn't actually love the clothes so much I'd be tempted to vote with my feet and never even venture into the stores again, but I do, so I obviously will.

Still, avoid the stress people and give their online shop a big miss; it's useless.

After receiving shoes from them in the wrong size and not liking a bag once I actually had it I requested a refund.

It took them over TWO MONTHS.

After one month I realised they were using the wrong name as the card account holder for my refund, so I clarified that by phone.

After another month I rang them again to ask why I hadn't received my refund. They hadn't sent it yet

Refund arrived 3 days after the phone call. Hmm.

Oh no, I wish I had read this thread - I just ordered a load of stuff from there for my holiday. I go in three weeks, I hope I get my package before then.

Just checked the confirmation, it says delivery will be up to the end of next week; we'll see.

eta: I'm going to cancel my order, although I'm not sure how straight forward that's going to be

Hi everyone

I don't suppose H&M's online store is any better?
I've seen a jacket but I'm quite reluctant to order from them.
£3.90 for a delivery of 4 to 6 working days also seems a joke

Looking at the reviews the service is still shockingly bad. I don't order online from them; if I see something I like I ring them up to ask where I can find the item locally and I buy in store.

From the reviews you do actually get what you order but you need to be prepared to wait for it - I was never that patient!

Thanks Lushness

For a store of H&M’s size it is disappointing. I would like the jacket for the end of November. Im going shopping on Sunday so will maybe see if they have the jacket in stock, if not- then they’ve lost a sale!

I used H&M earlier this year and used voucher codes. Free delivery plus £5 off or 25% off one item.
