Trouble is, Tanya can't actually
send Lauren anywhere, at 19 she's an adult and would have to agree to it. Personally I thought Tanya's attempted ambush of her although understandable it was ultimately not on. No matter what Tanya did, once Lauren got there and understood what the premises was she was under no obligation to sign herself in and no facility would admit her without her say so (unless she'd been sectioned for her own safety) so Tanya's grand plan fell on it's @rse from this aspect. I was glad when Lauren questioned Max he gently told her the truth but my jaw hit the floor when she quietly acquiesced to go, I thought there'd have been a bit more fuss than that the way Lauren's been behaving lately. All very convenient but I'm prepared to go along with the fact that she suddenly realised she needed help.

Seriously crap writing, storylining, and continuety - where is the reality in these programmes anymore. It would have been better if not rushed into a week maybe.
Anyway at least she's gone, one Branning down, 50 to go (except Dot, who's always a Cotton in my eyes!)”
When you put it like that ...

If Lauren is close to dying due to liver failure, I think the last thing on Tanya's mind will be what school she is going to.
She might have told her employees off-screen. They don't show everything on screen.
How much was the loan she took out? If she hasn't yet sold the business then that would affect her loan application.
Tanya got a suitcase from the top of the wardrobe, not exactly a small bag. Posessions could always be got later.”
I'm pretty sure that Tanya said to Max she'd sold Booty's to cover the cost of the rehab so he wouldn't have to worry about the cost.

Don't think I'll miss her and her condescension at all.
Though I am looking forward to seeing the actress herself in other roles.

Yes, Tanya needed to get Lauren help, urgently. A child in danger of dying over rides everything else but frankly the most responsible thing to have done with Oscar would have been to leave him with Max until the end of term and then collect him then, when she would have had 2 months to sort something out before September. It would also have left her free to concentrate all her efforts and attention on Lauren. Though, that said, most residential units don't want family and friends to have any contact at all for the first few weeks, if not months so I'm not quite sure what she is going to do there once she has got Lauren settled in.
I doubt she has told the staff she was leaving as it was so last minute and she didn't want Max to find out. However, she'll probably just ring or email Poppy to take charge and she seems to manage the place most of the time anyway.”
BIB: Agreed. I think I said something similar in the episode thread but like I said it would never going to happen as these are TANYA's children and Tanya's alone

(unless they need money, then they have a dad) Oscar would have been much better off with his dad, sister and grandma for now until (like you say) Tanya got settled wherever she's eventually supposed to live. They should just have her moving to the next borough of London so she's out of Max's way but close enough for her family to still help out. But the writers never worry about these things so why should I?
