I know they have to fit a day into an episode but last nights was ridiculous. First we see Roy, Sylvia and Hayley are talking and it's 10 to 8 on the clock and they are talking about opening up the cafe. So I assume when we see them in the cafe next it is still early in the morning but Owen is asking for a pasty, Sylvia gives Brian a plate with pie, chips and peas and then Tracey comes in and asks for a Tuna sandwich?

Maybe then I'd think its afternoon time but we go outside and Faye is on her way to school! So I'm assuming its still morning time? Is it just me that noticed this?

My surprise was that they didn't open until 8 o'clock. They will have missed half of the morning trade by then.

As for food eaten, when my OH was doing some manual work in East London many years ago, he would start at 6.30 and by 8.30 he was ready for Spag bol at the local Italian cafe. It's the only period of his adult life he's actually put on weight!

Was Brian having his lunch in the cafe? Breakfast would make sense, as Julie's on maternity leave, but surely he'd have his lunch at school?

I was only half watching the scene with brian in the cafe but was it deliberate that brian was spearing a fork through a chip (i think) before sylvia had even put the plate down on the table. Greedy barsteward

I thought it was morning! Hence the confusion.

Its all healthy eating at his school isn't it? That's probably why he was at the cafe and maybe Faye was going home for dinner as well.
