Not recording a series, Foxsat-HDR
Hi, When recording a series I have a small problem. If I record something that is a series with one programme each week i.e Dr Who, there is no problem, but when I record a series that is on each night ( Mon to Fri) with a gap at the weekend it only records the first week and not the second. Could it be something to do with the particular channel ( Pick TV)?

Most likely a broadcaster issue. At a guess the broadcaster is using a new series crid every week.

Set something that's on BBC or ITV everyday and you should find they will all record ok. |

It's not the crid codes as expected. Quote:
Stargate SG-1 Suspect the broadcaster is changing the event-IDs weekly. I don't have any way of checking this but it sometimes happens on ITV as well. I too series link record (Foxsat HDR) Stargate on PickTV.
Most of the time (for me) the following week records without issue. However, I find that the series link fails when the following week is the first episode of a new Stargate series. Since Stargate is transmitted Mon - Fri, a complete series can be transmitted in a three to four week period, so the series link failure (for me) happens about once every three to four weeks. The current series started very recently (can't remember the exact start date). Does your series link fail every single week or just ocassionally the same as mine? My solution is that on a Friday I check the recording schedule to make sure the following Monday episode is tagged for recording, if not I set up a new series link recording schedule for that Monday going forward. PS - I series link record the 10AM episode, not the 8PM evening one. If your recording issue is every week, then maybe changing to the morning episode might help. |
