With the potential of the Max/Tanya storyline it was a great shame to see it totally ruined by the apalling 'acting' by Max.
At one time shouting so laud that it was necessary to turn the sound down, at other times totally incomprehensible mumbling. The only way to make any sense of his 'performance' was to constantly keep adjusting the volume.
Is it the fault of the actor?
Is it the fault of the sound engineers?
Either way, like so many BBC programmes these days the sound balance was awful.
Do any of the production staff actually listen to the output in a domestic environment?
Wouldn't happen in the terminally boring Tennis, for sure!
