Finally....Eastenders beats Corrie in the ratings
Although it took a heavily trailed advertising campaign for last nights episode and an Andy Murray match going up against Corrie for it to happen but hey its a Eastenders victory and they will take it where ever they can . I'm guessing that is the first time its happened since Christmas Day?

Eastenders wouldnt have beaten Coro St. if Coro hadnt been up against Andy murray. It was a hollow win for ee.

..and likely won't happen again until this xmas. It's a very hollow victory imo; the exit of one of the show's biggest stars only just rating better than a quite frankly crap, uneventful edition of Corrie is nothing to write home about.

I think it's hilarious how as soon as EE beats Corrie in the ratings, all the EE-bashing threads start up, usually instigated and commented on by people whose names never, ever appear in the EE episode thread. They are clearly not regular EE viewers, just bandwagon-jumpers
Smacks of insecurity to me. How childish. |

The second episode of CS was not up against the tennis and was also beaten by EE. Andy's match finished at 8pm.
EastEnders will no doubt time shift way past 8million in the officials anyway. Quote:

Sure Some of the EastEnders fans do go on and are very passionate (me included) but there is some corrie fans that just can't take it,do anything to bash the Rival and it's viewers. Corrie wins NTA for example it's fine as soon as EastEnders wins it's a fix and only young people vote |

This is the first time this year EE has come out on top. I've seen plenty of anti EE threads this year. Poor argument.
Got any crayons because I haven't got any for my colouring book

I'm pretty sure I've seen dazza post on EE episode threads before and on other EE threads, so he must watch the show. I don't think he's bashing the show - just stating a fact.

I'm starting to think Andy Murray is an EE fan, because he seemed to hurry up in the final few games to get the match finished
. It's like he knew EE was about to start .

Well it was bound to get more viewers as it was Tanya's leaving episode! It was the climax to quite a big week of EE so it was hardly rocket science IMO that it would do well in the ratings

I see.
So what were the exact viewing figures for Corrie and EE? Corrie: 6.72m (31.6%) Eastenders: 7.18m (34.2%) Corrie: 7.07m (32.8%) BBC 3 EastEnders:590k (3.9%) I expect EastEnders peak will be around 7.5million The Officials will be over 8million As DullagJ2 pointed out Last nights EastEnders was highest Fri ep. since 19th April and 20k above the 2013 average With +1/BBC3 (as posted on TV ratings thread) Emmerdale: 5.80m inc +1 Coronation Street (19:30): 6.88m inc +1 EastEnders: 7.77m inc +2.5 Coronation Street (20:30): 7.28m inc +1 |

It's good to see EE win against Corrie, because it doesn't happen often anymore . What I want to know is, why didn't Lauren's liver get Julia's Theme? ![]() That poor liver must be decimated from all the alcohol abuse . Surely it deserved Julia's Theme?

Will EE end up with a below 7million average at the end of the year? However looking at those soap ratings, they are not pretty |

Got nothing to do with the episode itself more to do with having Andy's match as a lead in.
