After a week leading upto Tanya exit, I have found Jacqueline Jossa acting absolutely fantastic and really looking forward to see her character development with the drinking storyline hitting its peak

Great performances but there were times she played the part as if she was on crack. I am just glad the joey/early drinking stuff has lessened her bandwagon. From say her first year on the show where DS members were so thirsty for another stacey slater. One couldn't even judge her performance on its own merits without being told jj is the greatest thing since sliced bread

She has been fab. I have always found alcoholic storylines quite poorly acted (phil's being the worst) but she made it believeble.

Steve McFadden plays a poor drunk and Jacqueline Jossa plays a good one?

Dear lord.

Limited actress who has put in a couple of good performances in her time - including Friday's episode. No doubt she'll be back screeching and over acting in no time. To be fair to the actress herself, Lauren Branning is one of the most unlikeable characters ever to set foot on the square. I couldn't care less if she drank herself to death. Hard to play given the characterisation.

My future wife to be has been brilliant in this storyline.

She plays a good drunk, she's one of the more capable youngsters on the show. The only problem with the drink SL for me have been the pacing and the inclusion of Joey.

I agree, she's been brilliant.

Would you want an alcoholic to be your wife?

Hat's off to Miss Jossa, she's been brilliant these past 3 weeks

I wonder how she will be when she returns on her own without Tanya.

I've heard some weird and wacky opinions on here but saying Steve Mcfadden plays a bad drunk really takes the biscuit.

It needed to be at a slow pace that what makes its believable I really enjoyed this storyline and the past few weeks have been fantastic only bit that now seems odd is Tanya and Max did take Lauren to the doctors over a year ago think she had a drink problem but then just let her continue

Very much in the Eastenders A group always was but this has sealed her place for as long as she wants to be in the show

I think Jaqueline Jossas acting is good and it has been better than usual this week as well! Lauren is actually the only good character in Eastenders at the moment and I think she could be a brilliant character in the future!

She has a face like a slapped arse the majority of the time. Average acting at best. Jo Joyner and Ann Mitchell are far superior.

When your playing an unhappy character with a drinking Problem you tend not to be walking round with a smile on your face.
As for average acting that just a shocking comment she done a fantastic job of a very hard storyline, Easily my favourite character

Sorry I disagree.

Wobbling about a bit and talking EXTREMELY LOUDLY in a posh screechy voice is not playing a drunk well!

Where is the slurring, where is the silly smiles and giggles? Where are the tears? She is supposed to drink to make herself feel better, but is always so angry..

Kirsty was a far more convincing drunk on Tanyas doorstep imo.

Each to his/her own.

Even before she was an alcoholic she still had a face like a slapped arse. She had always looked damned miserable. I appreciate she is a popular character with some viewers but as an actress, she really is nothing special. She's a very overrated actress and a boring character IMO.
