I like Lauren and really interested in this story line but I don't feel the actress did it justice. I didn't really believe her but then again that could be the script too.

ETA I think in the end it was used in order to give Tanya an exit story line and maybe that's why it didn't totally ring true.

The thing is, where does she go from here? Her character needs a new purpose. I can see her working with Max - lets him keep an eye on her - but I don't think I'd buy into it. She needs a complete personality make over now: she was played as a kid, but has been through enough to make her grow up a bit - she's 19!

They should set her up as a best frind/rival to Lucy and make something of that. I actually think she should be with Peter, and she should become part of The Beales instead of The Brannings (not married, but more involved in Beale storylines). I also think Joey should be with Lucy actually, meaning there'll always be that spark of doubt between them all.

Kirsty was a far more convincing drunk on Tanyas doorstep imo.”

I'm not an expert on alcoholism but I did have a short and destructive relationship with an alcoholic once and there were not many silly smiles and giggles, he was a meaner, nastier self centred version of himself. I'm my opinion Lauren is an exaggerated alcoholic version of an already obnoxious teenager so I think that Jacqueline is doing quite a good job. Also she is playing an alcoholic not someone who is drunk.

In that case, she really must be pissed out of her mind..

Hi I'm new to this topic. I watched EE today and after seeing the departure of Tanya and Lauren I can't help but wonder when will Lauren be returning to the square Anyone any idea????

I'm talking about the Times when she has got her hands on the booze and turns up drunk, if you didn't know the storyline you would just think she is stroppy! She may be a "functioning" alcoholic, but she is supposed to "look" drunk in those scenes and she doesn't, just nails on a blackboard and any sympathy you may have for her is quickly overtaken by irritation.

Difficult to say, she has just come back off holiday last week after a month, and the scenes were filmed around 6-8 weeks ago, so I don't know, maybe a couple of months from now

I do hope that when she comes back she's given some good storylines because I'm bored with the same stuff going round and round.
